Z06 + Camshaft + Headers + Cold Air Intake + Tune = 581WHP/521TQ.
http://lgmotorsports.com/gallery/dis..._display_media If you account for drivetrain loss at a conservative 15% in this example you're looking at almost 700HP at the crank.

if you don't mind vintage and still want german engineering, the HPF e46 m3's are always a good choice. But they are a more bragging rights car

Which part?
A tune and exhaust will get you in the 10's in a GTR, I know this for a fact. I know someone who owns a shop and was able to go 10.9@129 all day long. If you're referring to a stock Z06 being unable to run 10's stock, good luck being able to drive like Jamie Furman / Ranger. He was running with drag radials under a perfect DA, I wish you the best of luck replicating those times. No one on this forum will probably be able to do that especially not OP, is it possible - sure, but only under perfect circumstances. In the GTR, it can be done all day long with no ability due to AWD/DCT, my grandma could do it in a tuned GTR.

My grandma can also drive a Ferrari 458 and a Gallardo Lp560 (both DCT vehicles), I am missing the point here...

Non car related: I'll take a shot at the US. Z06 Common car? WOW Really ? I barely see 1 a day around here. No wonder the economy went down the drain.

Good point, but the difference would be that your grandmother would have a much harder time driving the other two at speed (especially the 458). My point would be that unlike the lambo and ferrari, the only thing the GTR is in my opinion is fast. Obviously all of these things are opinions, so that doesnt make me right or you wrong.

i literally see 5 corvettes a day at least. Yesterday at the gym two were parked right next to me and i can only assume there were more in the lot.....than again im in Texas, most people are big into muscle cars or trucks here.
I would buy a gt3rs and wouldn't even think twice about not being able to smoke a zo6 |

gt3rs is alot of money though
I think I have now ruled out the gtr because it felt like a cheap nissan. LOL It was a great car just not feeling it. As for the z06, yes with headers intake tune it will be crazy but every person has one. I actually prefer dct over manual so I agree with the guy talking about grandmas in lambos I am now considering getting a c63 amg and purchasing the renntech stage 4 with it. |

Yes and a Z06 has 505 hp , yet weighs only 3200 lbs when compared to the 3800 lbs in the AMG. Just so you are aware there are very few vehicles that have the devilish powerband of a 7 liter corvette.
