We even have desert in Canada..... Kelowna BC. Still can get Snow, but it is a desert.
I love that there are palms.... If you get to south Vancouver Island, you see a lot of unique features and lots of palms. anyways, i think we've sufficiently taken this thread off topic |

You're complaining about Toronto?!?!?! Try living out here in the corn. Talk about boooooorrrrring. And flat. I envy folks who live in/near cities, mountains, or oceans and have something to take pictures of other than corn and silos.
Vegas/Death Valley in two weeks. Cannot wait. I may buy one more SD card just to have the space.

Toronto at a normal time of day for me as of 2010 takes 2 hours to get to..... which is sad because when i was growing up, it used to take 2 hours, and i was twice as far away the city is growing too fast. it took my mom 4.5 hours to get home from toronto the other day, and she's only supposed to be about 2.5 hours away. I enjoy driving in NYC more But i do know what you mean when you have nothing but corn and silos to take pictures of... I grew up in the country.... I played hide and seek with friends in the fields, and we used to whip eachother with corn stocks at recess in my public school toughened us up nicely. |

I know that area. Wifey has an uncle in London and we've been there several times. You're still close enough to Niagara to make it a day trip. I'd be wearing that place out with pictures (and trips to wineries). Granted, commuting in/around cities sucks. I drove a truck into Boston every day while I was earning my undergrad degree and I loathe having to drive up to our Chicago office (although I love spending a weekend *in* Chicago). Traffic is my worst enemy. But to be within a few hours drive of Niagara....

I honestly miss london, I spent most of my life in and around it. I'm still there a couple times a month.
I try to get to Niagara Falls about 1-2 times per year, but i'm usually not in a position to take pictures. Often I was doing the trip on a motorcycle, so traveling light was key. Or on a date, so for those, I leave the camera behind as well. I have done a winery tour there, was very entertaining. Sadly, not much of a drinker, but need more practice This picture is from my last visit. |

Hey at least both of you have places to drive where you can open up your car on a daily basis.

Ontario can actually take an crush your car... If we chirp our tires, we get a fine and points, same goes for if we accelerate hard for no reason, it falls under "street racing" or "stunt driving" laws here. |

I think Ontario should at least have the speed limits of other provinces, Many of their highways are 110kph, even the smaller country highways. Meanwhile here in Ont. we are stuck going either 80 or 90kph, which is just useless. For those of you who may be lost on the kph talk, 80kph = approximately 50mph. 110kph = approximately 70mph |
