Pat Fry admitted it was a yellow/red flag.
Both Speed and Sky pointed out the yellow LED, but the yellow/red was not seen till the start/finish line.

Kimi almost rear ended Vettel before he crashed into Senna into turn 4.

Skypad explained the situation.
Yellow flashing lights, stationary yellow flag and yellow/red flag on Turn 10.

Then flashing yellow light on turn 11.
Then GREEN flag on turn 12-13.

Then we saw stationary yellow light from turn 14 to start/finish straight.

Congrats the Vettel.

Hamilton better get used to 10th or lower in the grid next season driving the mercedes. I predict a total meltdown of fustration by midseason next year.

Great race, shame for Alonso and a less than ideal send off for Hamilton.

On the upside 2013 all the races are being broadcast on BBC

That's a surprise, so next season SKY and BBC will broadcast live?
Unfortunately my BBC Player got blocked finally, proxy server won't work anymore.

Just hope next season NBC Sports can at lease have the race live without commercial. I don't mind if its on pre-race or post-race.

Very entertaining race, could only have been better if Button shredded tires on the debris during the last lap.
Would have loved to seen or heard the Lotus engineers while Kimi was headed to the parking lot.
Too bad for Schumi, Mercedes did an absolute crap job letting themselves become the perenial also-rans.
Red Bull had the best cars so I think Alonzo did more as a driver with less, but just a hair short.

SEB SEB SEB SEB SEB SEB!!!!

Was also good to see Massa on the podium. Id love to see Massa make a great showing next year.

Hamilton is going to be driven nuts by not racing for a top team next year. He got greedy plain and simple.

I dont know what the hell Kimi was thinking with his off road trip but who knows.... Anyone else shocked that he came away with third after having such a quiet season?

What a race! Vettel showed why he belongs at the top. Survives a crash, body damage and bits flying off throughout the race to take the WDC. Credit where credit is due, a worthy champion.

I am just hoping this Vettel win does not start an era like Schumacher and Ferrari. IT was VERY boring watching Ferrari win yearly.

I wouldn't predict 2014 yet. We still don't know how extensive regulation change besides V6 Turbo engines. That might be a wild card for teams in 2014.

Incredible race, and a fitting end to the season.

I was pretty gutted for Alonso; he seemed to get the most out of that Ferrari every race, but it just was not enough today.

Vettel had a lot of luck going his way, but ultimately, whoever finishes with the most points deserves the championship, so congratulations to him.

And next year, someone needs to send Kimi a track map. When he went through that little chicane at the edge of the track, I think we were all thinking "where the hell is he going?! Shortcut?"

A bitter ending for Hamilton, you'd have to say. He did absolutely nothing wrong, and paid the price when Hulkenberg whacked into the side of his car. He's driven beautifully all season, but the luck has just not gone his way.

Also, I'll add that it's great to see Massa getting his mojo back. He has been brilliant in the last few races, and once again was quicker than his teammate. I look forward to seeing what he can do next season.

Alonso: best driver in the 3rd best car. He drove his heart out all season long but the car wasn't consistant.

Hamilton: the second best driver, (tied for 1st?), in the fastest car on many tracks but unreliable and had terrible luck. How the season could have been so different for him and the team; but that's racing. I hope for his sake that his contract with Mercedes has a get out after one season clause if the car is a dog.

Vettel: third best driver in what is easily the best car. His season was helped tremendously by the inconsistancy of the Ferrari and the unreliability and poor luck of Hamilton.

Wouldn't it be great to see all three of these guys in a Red Bull at the same time? I know it wouldn't then be F1 but it would be epic.

A real shame about Speed losing F1 next year and we losing the commentary team. I know not everyone likes them but be really careful what you wish for is what I say. Personally I hope that NBC picks up the contract for all four of them.

This could possibly be a McLaren 1-2 and great drive from Button, and Hamilton up to the Hulk crashed to him.
