Life doesn't stop because you have kids. I know plenty of friends who continue to have very active lives, they just bring their kids along. Obviously you can't ski down an alpine slope with baby in hand, but who's to say you can't still enjoy things and get out?

I think people that give up life and live in their holes at home just because they had kids wind up with more family issues than those who continue to be active and just bring the kids along. It exposes the kids to the world, which is sorely needed in this society we live in today...

it's a small circular "splotch" abbot half the size of a sunflower seed....

she got stung by a mosquito, got a welt and started rubbing it with her thumb.

well, that welt made a splotch that resembles the tiniest imperfection next to her belly button HAHAHA !!!!

8 months pregnant - @ 119lbs....

It'd be nice to have my child take care of me when I'm old, but one must also consider the burden on their lives- it should be a gift rather than an expectation. I think it's both selfish and foolish to expect your child to be your retirement plan

My grandpa is 82 and still traveling the world...skydiving, etc and as a consequence he enriches everyone's lives. People don't feel obligated to talk to him- they seek him out. That's the lifestyle I plan to live at that age
It is absolutely not a burden!! Before my Grandma passed away the ENTIRE family took a leave of absence from work, her sisters from out of state flew in, my Mom and both my Aunts, all of the grand children were by her side every single day and night the last month she was alive. We waited on her hand and foot and I would absolutely do that for my Mother when she becomes old and ill and needs me. I will not allow her to go to a nursing home where strangers take care of her.

Because -- assuming you have the proper attitude and mindset -- having (and parenting) kids is the most rewarding thing you'll ever do, bar none. Notice I said that you have to have the proper attitude and mindset, meaning you have to unequivocally want to have children and are willing to put in the commitment to raising them. You also have to prepare yourself for -- God forbid -- the possibility that your child might be handicapped (or become handicapped) and that you'll have to be his/her primary caregiver for the rest of your life.

Also notice that I said "rewarding". Parenting is not fun. It's not cheap. It's hard. There'll be blood, sweat and tears, and mental and physical reserves called upon that you never thought you had. And if you mess up, the downside risk could be catastrophic (think serial killer or Hitler). But in the moments when you've done it right, there is probably no greater joy (I'd say even more joy than doing a sub-8:00 at the 'Ring) than watching your kids grow up. And that joy is lifelong (whereas doing your fun activities will probably make you happy, what, a couple days, maybe a week, at most?).

Another thing that sucks is when good kids who respected their parents grow up and have bad kids who don't respect them.

I'm waiting for my 2-yr-old son to get older so I can break out the Xbox. Right now, he watches me (with a disapproving eye from the missus) play FPS games on the PC, and then he runs around shooting with whatever pretend gun he can imagine (Pew, pew!). I hope I'm not raising a serial killer ...

My 5-year-old daughter hasn't shown much interest in gaming, so I may have to start a little slower with Disney games or something. She's into arts & crafts, and likes showering me with cards that say "I love you, Daddy". But when I ground her, she'll make a card that says, "I don't love my Daddy". Good times ....

i disagree, I hate it when my son pwned me on COD. It seems like he's using a cheat code to make his guy move faster than mine We don't even play video games anymore . I just can't take it .

When did she find out she needed that? Was it before she was 28 weeks? They took my blood at 13 weeks and again at 17 weeks and never told me about having to possibly get a shot in my ass. They just told me my blood type and that was it basically. Now you have me wanting to call my dr and ask about it.

Great ass though!!!!

not sure when she found out, but since she's O Negative, she had to get the shot so she wouldn't contaminate our daughter during birth or some shit like that...

doesn't hurt to ask the doctor though - the shot is called Rhogam...

here's some information for you: http://www.pregnancycorner.com/being...on/rhogam.html

"...Typically, being Rh negative is not a health concern until pregnancy occurs or a blood transfusion is needed. Rh incompatibility is a mismatch between the blood of the mother and the blood of the fetus and occurs when the mother is Rh negative and the fetus is Rh positive. In most cases, complications are rare since this condition is usually diagnosed early on and treated with a blood product called RhoGAM. When Rh negative blood is exposed to Rh positive blood, the Rh negative blood responds by producing antibodies that attack and destroy the Rh positive blood cells. This can lead to problems such as anemia, kidney failure, or shock. Rh immunoglobulin prevents your immune system from attacking your baby’s blood..."
