My car is on the Tortugas, heading to Halifax! ETA September 12. I'm assuming it's another 7 days at the vpc in Halifax, then another 7 on the train and then 7 from the train to dealer to prep to delivery...does that sound about correct?

Diff has been replaced and scheduled to arrive at dealer on 09/04-09/06. Coming from Port Hueneme.

Congratulations, and good luck with the fixed car. How long did it take for them to get it fixed?? (mine is on the ramp as we speak, trying to sort out a weekend delivery!!)

Seems it is a 2 day job (as long as they have ordered 'the bolts'). Hope the same for you so you are driving your new baby on the weekend

Mine is amongst 22 that they have 'started work on according to last week's update after sending in a complaint. Considering it has been widely reported that it is a 48 hour turn around that I expected some good news things week.

In true BMW form I had no feedback which forced me to ring a Customer Interaction Centre number provided by a friend with previous experience in these matters. After investigations they called me to say that they are stil "working" working on the car and It should be completed at the end of next week. That is a mimium of three weeks now , for a 2 day job! BMW must have one mechanic turning one bolt on each of the 22 cars one after another. At least I received some information on ETA. Thankful for small mercies.

Though I am now apparently out of the woods, please know that I, like many others share your pain and frustration.

BMW sales must be very good for BMW to apparently not really care about us diff deficient customers. A tad short sighted perhaps when you consider we are the 'M' brigade, and therefore not your average every day cheap car buyer that readily flips between brands, and therefore are worth looking after? ..

Just to let the UK guys know... BMW have finally lifted the 'delivery stop' here too!

I got the call this afternoon and picked up my car soon after. Same disclaimer as the US guys. Perhaps the other countries will follow suit too?

Picked up my car at BMW of Austin on Friday 9/2. After being told both by my CA and by genius initially that the car was indeed repaired, it turns out not to have been, had to sign the disclosure. Either way, drove the crap out of it this today in the hills west of San Antonio.
