Solid I've thought about an el premiero for a while. Hi beat movement came out at same time as tag collaboration to be first to produce automatic chronograph in 1969 i believe.

Zenith has been manufacturing fantastic watches since its establishment to me . I haven't owned a Jaeger Le Coultre to make a fair comparison but quality wise it should be on par with it as well .
Quality , fit and finish is same quality as Rolex . Omega is a decent brand too but I like Zenith more than others excluding Rolex .
However, their resale value is low just like many reputable watch makers

If I did not have my Daytona, I'd seriously consider this speedmaster as an alternative
it's the 35th anniversary release? so only available in the secondary market now

^ while I am an Omega fan and that is a handsome watch, it’s a bit too busy for me. With that said, if I had to pick one Speedmaster, it would be there one with the contrasting dial and bezel. The rest of the Speedmaster line just doesn’t do it for me.

the daytona is mine
AD had 2 skydwellers at once to show me
oyster bracelet and jubilee

the jubilee fits my wrist way better on this watch

I just barely got my foot in the door
i'm in no position to help anyone get one of the most sought after watch
i bought my daytona in the secondary market

Oh damn…must have spent a pretty penny on that. My AD has exhibition pieces in now. I plan swinging by in the next few days to try on the Daytona to see how it fits/wears.

Tried on a PM Daytona today. It was an exhibition piece so no movement and obviously not for sale. First impression was that it was smaller than what I expected. However, in the mirror and in pictures it looked perfect. Now the dream continues until I have a Daytona panda on my wrist.

friend's white gold, blue dial and my stainless steel daytona

the full gold bracelet is significantly heavier than my stainless steel
oysterflex balances out the extra weight of the gold so it wears fine

if you want heavy, try on a platinum daydate or daytona
while i love the look of the platona, i wouldn't actually wear it due to the weight
