It's so bad on multiple levels. And that sucks because I'm a huge WD fan. I am destined to watch all future episodes just to be frustrated by poor plot lines, weak directing, bad acting, no common sense and lost potential.

The season finale was pretty decent. But I agree the show needs to die.

To even attach the same title or spinoff to the EPIC show that is the WALKING DEAD is a travesty. This show and especially it's characters are epic stupid. The ONLY interesting characters to me that I didn't want to slap the shit out of or kick off of a mountain side are the black guy being held in the cell with Johnny Depp. Dude has a "plan" and the tiny screen time he had, made an impact.

See I didn't care for him for the same reason everyone seems to be hating on Johnny Depp kid - he tries WAY to hard to sound like Morgan Freeman.

Come on. You have to love Salazar! He's a sick dude that is totally prepared for this world. Whatever needs to get done.

Maybe I would have liked him more had they at least, weened him off the dope, got himself cleaned up and started acting and looking like a normal human and not a walker himself.

Yep, Salazar is the only saving grace of the show for me.

Has anyone noticed that except for the barber shop/riot scene, we basically saw NOTHING in regards to how everything collapsed? What a cheap cop out it was to have the military show up, fence in that small sub division, and then deny us all the apocalypse porn of seeing the hordes of undead rampage the city. Why did the military show up to the one sub division anyway? LA is huge, and that subdivision had their own undead problems, why did they choose that area?

So many holes.

I think they just wanted to show what those families saw from their perspective. Remember, there was no TV since the power went out. I watched the Talking Dead afterwards and they did state that they will probably delve more into this subject next season. I'm giving it a 7 out of 10. Not great, but the last couple of episodes were entertaining. I agree that they had many holes so we'll see how they'll close them next season. I do think the last scene was done really well and was brutal to watch.

Ahhh, makes sense. No doubt I'll still watch it as I've said before, I love the genre. It's just nowhere near the show TWD is, where I actually care about the characters and get a little anxious anytime one of them is in trouble. FTWD characters? They can all die in a grease fire for all I care haha.

Agreed. Salazar is the most interesting character with a backstory.

Also, agreed. I was looking forward to seeing how everything went down AND in LA no less. I would have hoped to see more LA landmarks or LA culture weaved into the story. Where's the gangbanger or the hipster?

How great would it have been to get a bearded lumber sexual male who didn't know how to wield an axe or start a fire? THAT would have been fun to watch.

It was explained that the subdivision was one of 12 safezones that had been set up in the city along with mentioning that the people who lived there "were the lucky ones". Presumably there just weren't enough soldiers available to lock down the entire city.

If you watch Talking Dead they discussed how this was intentional, and they want to explore the idea of how Nick is already suited for post-apocalyptic life because he's already been surviving on the fringes for years.

This is why I am taking a lot of these comments with a grain of salt. Half of the people whining about the show weren't even paying attention to the details.

Just watched the finale last night. Are you kidding me??? The "wealthy brother" is easily the most interesting character to date! He essentially has saved/rescued the entire cast! Everyone else except the old latino barber are annoying and stupid as fok. Several of us have already touched on the fact that it doesn't take a "master zombie hunter" to use some "common foking sense" in these situations. I get it, that's how the writers drew it up. Still does not change my opinions.
I eagerly await the return of Rick and Co. this Sunday...

I'm sure his Yacht is anchored out deep. He certainly has a small boat at his mansion somewhere to get out to the big boat.

Neither did I. But I bet you he has one.

By the way... Why pop Lizzy and just leave her there? Why not cast her out to sea? That was cruel for the son to see.

This is what I don't get. In a city of close to 4 million people, why choose a measly 12 safezones? And it seemed that there were only like 30 people in this particular safezone. What's the point of creating these safezones if the other 3+ million people become zombies, surround the safezone and easily overrun the safezone? And then to have a protocol for the termination of the safezone residents if and when the safezone was going to be vacated by the government (which was going to happen eventually)? Am I missing something?

Yeah, you're missing the lesson that even if you've been taken care of by the gbumint with your free phone and housing and food, they won't be there when the blood hits the rotor blade

Being that its just for entertainment, though the 1st few episodes were slow, it did its job and was entertaining. Certainly kept me occupied until this Sundays premiere of the original series.

Everyone will always have something to pick about anything, but it seems like we all watched it and will watch the next season as well!
