you remind me of all the rich kids i met in college that thought they were so cool for driving this car and driving that car and having a friend's dad with this car, blah blah. you made your point about the s85 engine 'feeling' slow because the low torque and large rev range. i'm sorry, the m6 is not slow, move along. biased? i bet that's what george w. tells himself every night before he goes to bed. "i did a good job, they are all just biased against me hmpfff!!"

Does it matter who the cool kid was? life stories aren't really relevant here. its just my opinion that the m6 does NOT "feel" THAT fast . you can have your opinion and i can have mine, i guess my opinion makes me the cool rich kid? Right?

Nice to see an owner actually admitting it. I said the same thing and had a handful of xi owning crying with their panties in a knot.

No you can't have opinions apparantly. Everything is based on horsepower ratings, torque is irrelevent.

Ha.... I had a nice PM exchange with sparkg on this topic. As an 335XI owner, the handling is horrible versus the M3 and I was laughing at sparkg's comment about almost crashing on the road with XI. It has HORRIBLE throttle steer, if you get on it after an "apex", the thing shoots out aggressively.

Try a good set of snow tires. My wife has no trouble driving her 335i up down hills in the winter. She loves it in fact. Anyway, we're off topic. |

The M3 would actually be better with the LSD

X2. my buddy picked up an M6 a couple weeks ago. he let me take it for the day. LOVED the sound of that engine starting up, mean looking car... but not the car for me.... too freaking big and heavy feeling. also, i know it is faster than my M, but it didn't feel faster... left me surprised and longing to get my car back.

Friend of mine has an M6 cabrio with dinan software and full schnitzer kit/wheels/exhaust and after driving around my V3 335i I wasnt even near impressed with that car, my car feels alot faster 0-60 and 100+. The only thing I liked was the V10 sound, which I would give a limb for. The M6 is a heavier car and doesnt have the torque our cars have with the piggybacks. We have a much lighter car with alot more torque and that makes it feel much faster.
