FYI - in stock at Amazon for $150, but you need to sign up for new service.

Man I'm pissed, I supposedly got put on some priority list at my local Verizon store, and the the fu$kin store just sold them to first come first served. I was even there 10 minutes after the store opened...and sold out! It appears everyone in SD is sold out, so I ordered over the phone. Dude on the phone said they are back-ordered till the 5th. He said they underestimated the demand. What kind of bullshit is that. That's un-American...I shouldn't have to wait for sh*t.

I waited two hours in line with about 40 people in line. I was # 17 and they sold out by person # 11. So then I had to order one, and they promised overnight shipping for Saturday. Call Verizon CS tonight around 10pm EST, and don't even have the sale in their computers! Crackberry.com is saying the phone won't be available until 12/5 or 12/15!

BlackBerry Storm shipments delayed due to apparent version glitch
If you're one of the many, many BlackBerry Storm buyers who cleaned out inventories at Verizon stores on Friday, all that time spent waiting in the cold just became a bit more worthwhile. Online orders are being subject to shipping delays and, while you might think this is just another case of holiday supply versus demand, many are calling shenanigans. Supposedly the Storm was set to launch with OS version 4.7.0.82, but due to a last-minute security glitch every last handset had to be downgraded to .65 -- a surely time-consuming task that resulted in many fewer handsets in-store and online for release. Right now Verizon is indicating that orders placed before noon on November 21 should ship on the 25th, those received after noon will ship on December 5, and anything received on November 22 or later will not ship before December 15. That's close enough to a certain major holiday to make BlackBerry-loving kids of all ages nervous. If a Storm is high on your Christmas list you might just want to plan a few extra good deeds on your schedule to boost your placement on the "nice" list -- nobody wants a 7100i in their stocking. http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2008/1...version-glitc/ glad i got mine but i'll post a mini review of what i think of the phone if people are interested cause i dont want to rub it in if you didn't get yours, i glitches alot and lags but i'm enjoying it alot. i video quality is really good i downloaded a good copy of batman to it and it look amazing my friends can't

aside from the lag, its a great phone. I love the custimaization on it, the clarity of the screen is brilliant, the sound and video quality is superb and the click-through touch screen rocks. Its everything and MORE than what I anticipated it to be, however.. I do have to take it into the verizon store to upgrade my software.. That should the lag and the glitches. (I would do it myself but for some reason my phone doesnt have the software update link in the advanced options, and my compter (Mac) doesnt have internet explorer for the blackberry dl link..)

As a Canadian, I can tell you that the only people who use Blackberries are dorky business people who don't know how to use a mouse in their 40's and 50's or 60's. Damn, the design of the Blackberry Storm is worse than the first gen iPhone. Blackberry Storm design looks like it's already out of date!!! iPhone 3G is still the King.
