Yeah, you don’t need ten minutes between whatever you call a heavy set. A few minutes is fine, sure.

5 minutes rest MAX

And I better see at least 3 plates of 45 on each side. (BP/squat)

4 plates if deadlifts.

Otherwise, you're a bitch. And a douche.

Essentially/ you're a queef.

5 minute rest is pushing it no matter how much weight you're putting up. I think 2 minutes between heavier sets is plenty of rest, especially in a busier gym.

Plan ahead.

I don't personally need that much either, but I'd understand if you're lifting big boy weight- I go to a 24 hour gym, so I usually go late night on a planned workout to attempt a PR so no one bothers me/I don't bother others.

That or be courteous and set in/out with someone else. Most commercial gyms no ones really pushing more than 5 plates on deads- doesn't take much to take off/put on a few plates per set. (You get one side, the other person gets the other)

I jus saw !

You go Glen cocoa- considering it's a home gym- take 20 minute rest sets if you'd like.

Btw where'd you buy the floor mat to absorb the weight?

It's 3/4 inch horse matting with 3/4 plywood sandwiched in between. Bought it at a coop. Also bumper plates so not too bad just won't drop to be safe.

I can take over said old-man exemption!!

No more heavy anything for me. I've switch to more reps/way lower weight, going to stamina now that muscles just don't really build any more. Well, I have no real problem building that table muscle. . .

You can have it I'm not ready to retire yet. Do more reps on light days but also pushing heavy also with alternate workouts.

Do you guys take any testosterone?

I'm approaching 30 in a year and a half. Don't think I need it yet but want to be prepared. Recovery has been tougher though.

No balding either (yet). Balls sag a little more but I kinda enjoy that. Makes the "slapping" against the girls clit more pronounced so I ain't mad at that.

I’m 46 and have never needed it or plan on using it. If you train correctly and rest, repair, recover the right way that should be plenty. This would include eating healthy and body maintenance as well. TRT is just a short cut to not doing all those things right.

I’m still training and hitting my numbers just like I did in my 30s, I’m just smarter about how I train and how I recover. All Natty for this guy!

Rest/repair/recover is definitely my biggest problem.

Rest days usually turn into cardio days despite my body telling me to do literally nothing

Define problem!

Meaning soreness, pain, fatigue, lethargy?

What's your glutamine supplementation like dose wise....?

Water intake?

Height/ body weight?

Age?

Daily activity level on scale of 1-10?

Reply or shoot me a DM and could easily tell you where the problem lies!

52 in a few months

I've had several bottles of Testo Fuel lying around. There's one partially empty one on my desk. I tried following the routine but outside of occasional morning wood the first couple 3 days, no real change. I don't know that I am low, it's probably just natural change as I age.

Were I younger/without adult responsibilities I might do better in the gym. With children/wife drama, being there for my dad, and being a responsible member of the local community I have not prioritized exercise like I did in my 20s.

Considering on the next visit to endocrinologist for my diabetes, to ask if it's time to do some tests.
