Yes, that's the iDrive 8 update. Add 2 months for shipping.

Only updated screen for 2023. Full LCI for 4 series is in 2024.

No idea how that would translate in terms of changes to M3/M4 since they have a unique front end.

True. With below updates for 3 series / 4 series and G8x production extended for a several years, M updates might not be straightforward like previous platforms.

G20/G21
03/24: Engine refresh
07/24: Some kind of a mild cosmetic refresh

G22/G23
03/23: Will get new interface package
03/24: LCI

I am considering to get a G80, but should I wait for the LCI front end change? Or is there any leak for the front end change?

There hasnt been any leaks so far and I dont think there would be any major update to the front end.

People are waiting months for an allocation and it can take anywhere between 3 to 9 months if one places an order now. There is plenty of info in the G80 section about this.
