You mean the OEM rear spoiler in the photo below? Didn’t buy/look for this. I just added a gloss black spoiler.

What I was referring to in the post was the rear splitter from Maxton Design, which goes on the bottom half of the rear.

For those interested, I connected with Burger Mororsports and asked them which tuners work for our platform. After sending them a photo of our TMAP sensor (at least for the x1 m35i) they confirmed the following:

There is no JB+ option coming (any time soon at least) but there is a JB4 option that should work for our cars. I’m considering going that route but not pulling the trigger just yet.

Here is the link for those interested.

ok... I just woke up and my coffee is still brewing, so I'm not 100% yet, probably not even 50%.

You sent them your TPMS sensor because.....?

Trying to tune your TPMS sensor can't be any worse that getting a cold air intake.

Their JB4 systems are built for a variety of different models that have different sensor types. I didn’t send them the sensor itself just a photograph to confirm the type of sensor that our vehicle uses In which of their JB4 models works for it.

Have one of those too. To each their own. It’s certainly not my preferred method, but the way they have these cars locked down to get a little bit more power that may be the only way for the foreseeable future.

As I mentioned, I haven’t made any decisions yet, just considering the options and seeing as this is an aftermarket parts thread, I thought I would offer up that piece of information for those that want to go that route.

Anyone find a rear bumper protector that looks good? I like the one mentioned previously that is black stainless but it is $187 on Am@zon. The prior X1 we had a stainless cover on the bumper and it did a pretty good job of protecting the paint and looked good. My wife's new 2024 is already scratched.

I think he was trying to point out that you meant TMAP and not TPMS.

maybe it's some new trick to tune the TPMS or the tires so it will automatically inflate/deflate based how fast/slow the driver wants to go? (like the original Hummer with its driver-adjustable tire inflation system that can be operated while the Hummer is driving down the road?)

is it made of plastic or metal ?? - contradicts each other in the same ad !

Sent Amazon at 10:40PM (HST) the inquiry plus wanted to confirm if it will fit both the 'sport bumper and the x-line bumper' (as I don't know if the rear bumper surface where this will be applied has any difference or not) ...

Yeah the ads leave a lot to be desired. I think I will just get this one and see what shows up:

Has anyone actually bought and installed this front license plate mount? We opted not to drill into the front bumper but it’s just a matter of time before I get pulled over for no front plate in NY. Considering this as an option.

I mostly just read and post in the U11 and G60 forums. Based on what I've read, most people use tow hook license plate mounts.

for example, this one... it belongs to FlashMonkey929(of Hawaii), but I can't seem to find where his original post is.

I think it looks real nice. (well, maybe not as nice as my front license plate, or the lack of) If I ever move to somewhere that required front license plates, I will definitely buy this holder from Rho Plates.

Thanks!

Third times a charm! Went from the OEM splitter, which is quite nice, but too small, then to the ESR splitter, which is sportier and more present, and now this one from Maxton Design. This is a chunky, and relatively heavy spoiler in comparison, but by far my favourite. I’m all set on exterior modifications (for now).

The only thing I wish I could find in stock are the OEM M35 mirror caps. But no luck so far. So I’m giving up on that until later in the year when stock may become available.

my own garage isn't even that clean. (my house was only built less than 2 years ago) I feel so ashamed. Will give my garage a thorough cleaning next week!
