LOL. So you resort to this as a desperate man who continues to lose all logical arguments of objective times.

That is beyond laughable and not accurate at all. You only make yourself look worse with statements that are as naive and ignorant as that. You realize the average income of a Porsche owner is ~400K right? Could EASILY afford a Ferrari, Lamborghini, or just about anything short of cars like the 918, P1, etc.

What is it you drive??

Sorry you're wrong. Go back and watch the video where McLaren sends another set of stickier tires the Trofeo R to rerun the lap. The 918 on the same tires would have been faster. Nice try but go back to the drawing board.

How do you explain the fact that as Laguna Seca, a track built for hp the P1 got crushed, and even had a TEAM of engineers, went out multiple times and STILL COULDNT BEAT THE 918 on a second track.

It's the truth.

Nothing you type is logical, pure fanboy. I've never come across a bigger fanboy than you, and it's entertaining watching you constantly try to defend you precious Porsche haha

It's quite far from the truth. With an avg income for Porsche owners of ~400K they can afford about anything.

You keep avoiding the subject. What do you drive?

Haha I think you are confused. The original test was done with the P zero Corsa, which couldn't handle the P1s chassis. McLaren sent the car back with the Trofeo R tires. You might want to watch the video again before you type up such nonsense.

Oh they can afford "anything" and they picked a boxter lol.

I'll let you figure it out.

The P Zero Corsa, WAS DESIGNED FOR THE P1. It is the factory tire as far as I know and is comparable to the Cup 2 the 918 had. The Trofeo R is a much stickier tire. So again, you are wrong.

Still avoiding the question. Let me guess, since you're Armenian and likely have no clue what your pic in your sig is about, I'm guessing you drive a 335.

The Trofeo R is a option for the P1.

The Cup 2 is a sticker tire than the Corsa, just like the video states.

Trofeo R is stickier than a Cup 2. The Corsa and Cup 2 are more comparable.

Any again, how do you explain that the 918 lap time was done with the top off giving it a distinct disadvantage...yet it still beat the P1. Give the 918 its roof back and Trofeo Rs and the 918 will be the faster of the 2 again.

I don't make assumptions. Plenty of people have user names of past cars or cars they want to own.

Bottom line is, P1 was engineered with the Trofeo R tires, and it's the only tire that can handle the extreme forces the chassis puts on it.

Pretty funny how you cry about sticky tires but completely over look the HUGE advantage the 918 has by being all wheel drive.

From everything I've read it was designed for the corsas but open to being wrong with written corroborating documentation otherwise.
Fact remains the 918 has yet to be beaten on given equal comparison.
Porsche has created a far superior display of technology and collaboration in how the systems work. AWD is just good visualization of what will make the car better in which it is meant to be driven (i.e. fast on a circuit). The P1 and LaF with awd would have been faster and with awd would likely be able to beat the 918 given they have more power...but coulda, shoulda, woulda. Also the 918 was out first and the p1 and LaF had clear sights set on it yet still can't beat the 918 in the p1s case and ferrari won't dare watch their car go down in a head to head.

See that's where you are confused, these cars are not dedicated track weapons. They weren't designed to be shaving 10ths off lap times at the track. The track is actually where majority these cars will be spending the least of their time. They are road cars that are extremely fast at the track, but are not meant only for the track. To think one car is better because of better lap times means you have completely missed the point of these cars and if you actually get to the point in your life to actually afford any of those three, lap times will be the least of concern. Lap times only carry weight with me in a race car, during qualifying and the race.

You want a dedicated track car, get a BAC MONO.

I don't even know how you have the audacity to say "shoulda, coulda, woulda" Your entire argument is based on that.

If GT3 had same power as Speciale, it would be faster.. Shoulda, coulda, woulda..

If Turbo S had same power as Z06 it would be faster.. Shoulda, coulda, woulda

If GT2 had PDK is would have been faster than most cars.. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...

If 918 had same tires as P1 it would have been faster.. Shoulda, coulda, woulda..

The list goes on..

I don't consider saying that two cars on equal tires is shoulda, coulda, woulda. Some tires provide better times and in that case the 918 has PROVEN faster than the p1, which is largely why ferrari won't go head to head against it.
The GT2 was built with a 6mt whereas all the cars in question have dual clutches which provide faster times. The GT2RS even though it's built on a mid 90s chassis still beats most current day super cars some 5 years later.
As far as the z06 it is barely faster than a GT3 on some track despite 175 more hp and 326 lb ft more tq LOL.

The only one making excuses is you. First it's that the p1 was faster on a circuit and it's not. I proven in all the head to heads (equal comparos) thus far the 918 has shown to be faster. Then you come up with the cause that they aren't track cars. That's as bad as ferrari saying the LaF isn't about speed or performance after they market it as the best performance car they've ever built. Yet it still can't beat the 918 despite being slightly lighter and having a lot more power. Laughable and quite honestly a joke to say the least.
