I think it's time for the Yankees to bite the bullet, call it a season and trade Chapman AND Miller for top pitching prospects. I would also move Beltran as he'll help a contender down the stretch. Also, if Mark Teixeira can get healthy and hit before the trading deadline they should trade him as well.

Plus, I think its time for Cashman to go but I'm a Girardi fan so I'd rather have him stay. Things will look better for the Yankees once A-Rod and CC are off the books and it's no secret that Bryce Harper will be a Yankee after the 2017 season.

Got it for 300. 50 was stub hub fee. Ticket face value was 250. This was in Oakland. Couldn't get anything like this in NY!!

I heard the John Sterling calls this morning, made me lol but it's too little, too late for the Yankees this season. They have to rebuild for 2018 and beyond as I'll take that instead of them being mediocre for the next 5 seasons. They can get top prospects by trading:

Tanaka
Miller
Chapman
Betances (I would keep him as the closer but if I can get a younger stud, so be it)
Beltran (if not injured)
McCann
Arod & CC for hot dog buns

Build around the prospects they get along with Bird coming off of injury, Aaron Judge and Tyler Wade. Sign Bryce Harper and Mike Trout when they become FA and go from there.

bolster the farm system is always a good move. B/c Yankees have money, they actually have an option to keep their farm players into their prime, unlike other teams which must trade those players before the big free-agency year.

If you look at the teams that are consistently successful, you'll see many of their players were their own farm players.

Gary Sanchez is the Yankees newest star, followed by Aaron Judge. They should bring up Clint Frazier as well in September and see what he can do. Nothing to lose as this is all about 2017 and beyond. Making the playoffs this season shouldn't be the goal, however, it would be a great accomplishment.

Agree I'm a huge fan of Judge. He should do great things for the Yankees now and beyond. Last I looked Yankees were 5.5 behind. They are always better in September so I guess we'll have to see what happens

lol Not too many baseball peeps in here as NFL/NBA rule sports in America. Baseball gets boring and if your team isn't in it now, nobody cares. However, Yankees are still in it but their starting pitching is mediocre and I don't see them making much noise in the postseason IF they make it in. But this is the reason why they play the games. Can they catch lightning in the bottle and ride Sanchez into October? That would be epic but not counting on it. Let the kids play and see whats up for 2017 and beyond.
