So besides being the newest kid in the BMW family I just don't see what the hype is about. If the M2 was priced in the low 40's I think it would be a better option. But at the current price point I'd take a stripper M4 over the M2 every time.

A @45k m2 with a b58 running a mild factory tune to @350ish WHP would have been awesome.

I don't think anyone in here is taking offense to the M2 coming in last.

I think the problem stems from the "I once test drove the M2 and it sucked and they are sitting on lots and no one is buying them and they are overpriced" crew who tend to post on these type of posts.

A car praised by journalists as the last 'real M'. The same journalists who talk about how bloated the M4 is.

That seems to ruffle feathers around here.

I thought the M2 (the only one without a dct) was surprisingly close to the others. I was frankly surprised the V8s were killed by the M4.

As a guy who has had both M4 and M6, I would say the M6 driver in this video obviously doesn't know how to launch the M6... M6 is faster than entire current M cars anytime any where including from dig 0-60 or 1/4 mile or rolling....

The last few years of the 135i, 135is and 335is had DCT as an option

Loved my 335is. Tuned N54 with DCT plus IS specific exhaust was special

I've seen your type a dozen or so times in this forum:

1) Doesn't own any of the cars discussed.
2) Supposedly "about" to buy something (240/M2/M3), ultimately commits to nothing but seems to have an opinion about everything.
3) Has a friend/family member getting or has whatever car is in discussion.
4) Has a roommate/fiancé/other outside influence that is the excuse for the constant flip flopping as to why they haven't made a purchase.

You're not buying anything or fooling anyone. You just like to be part of the conversation. My prediction is BMW will announce the M2 CS and all of a sudden you'll be getting one of those, lol.
