well, I guess that's understandable.

All I’m saying is that there’s a reason I’m paid to be using the camera instead of being in front of it.

Hola everyone,

I just took delivery two days ago of a BMW X1 28i X-line in Cape York Green / Oyster with sport seats and the Eucalyptus open pore wood trim and with the 19 inch wheels

Just picked this up yesterday after ordering in September. Had a bit of drama as the dealer originally said they'd honor Carmax pricing for trade-ins but reneged with a $2,500 lower offer, which meant we lost out on the tax credit after selling it to Carmax. Basically cost $630 more than originally planned.

I will tell my friend not to buy from that BMW dealer who reneged on their words. she lives near Kokomo, about 30 minutes away from that dealer. she's planning to order a 330e soon.

That’s awful, and they know they’ve got you because of the scarcity and how long you’ve waited. Thankfully it was “only” $630. I make sure I get everything in writing, signed by the dealer and myself - just in case.

To be completely fair, they did give me a bit over what Porsche offered on the 2nd vehicle we traded (2011 Cayenne S) but it's still the idea that the CA said they'd match Carmax back when we placed the order.

Well if you placed the order in September, and you just got the car now, you think it's fair for the dealer to be held to the price match after all that time and mileage on your trade in passed?

The price match I had from Carmax was current so that was what I was expecting them to match. To you other point, no, I wouldn't expect them to match a price from many months earlier - nor did I ask them to. Additionally, the Carmax price actually went up $400 from the September number.

Well, yeah if that's what they agreed on. Granted I've only been waiting a few months, but I have this exact arrangement with my dealer. In writing. With the acknowledgement that I'm going to be putting on kms every day until my new car is delivered.

Cannot find dealers exposing Blue Bay Lagoon X1. Could someone please show pictures showing closest true color? From what I've seen it could be anything between greenish and sky blue... confused...

There are some pictures on this forum somewhere already, but essentially this colour like storm bay looks totally different depending on lighting conditions outside.

Looking at more photos isn't going to help, as the color looks different in different conditions. It is something that you have to see yourself in person if you want to really be sure of the color.

As Flash says, you will need to see in the flesh, no matter how many photos you see it will look often quite different, so not sure how more photos will help? Or realise that it will look like all the photos at some point, which is the reality.

My issue with these metallics that look different depending on lighting is that you need to like how it looks in all circumstances, but that’s often hard to judge. Storm bay looks great in all lighting (to me) but there are colours I only like in certain lighting and so I ruled those out because who wants to spend £40k+ on a car and then sometimes not like the colour 🤷🏼
