The ZR1 is would destroy a Ferrari F430. It's not even a fair comparison. The Scuderia would be a better challenge but it would lose too.

Good effort to create a coupe from a hatch which was never designed to wear performance wheels/rubber. The next generation will be far better, which is why it'll have a very short 3 year lifespan. A great whole package it's not. But seems most just care about stratight line performance. It can benefit greatly from more downforce and lower CG, and a decent set of coilovers. I found it to be not so fun, which is why one isn't sitting in my garage (anymore). But maybe I just have higher expectations than most??? Now back to the stupid vette vs. 335i debate...

Well, err when are you planning to visit Europe?: I'm going to South America in about a few months and my daughter is going to Orlando FL in september (as I recall) but that still is nowhere near 'Irvine' I guess.

I just came from an E92 328i, and now I'm in a 2005 Ford Focus BASE, the torque should be fine.
The MPG will probably suck, but I suspect most people buying a $65,000 car don't mind too much.
