This thread is funny as hell. I sent it to my friend who owns a Corolla with a bumper dent. Guess what...she is asian and female. She was embarrassed enough to take her car to the bumper doctor.

The OP should send a link to this thread to Click and Clack at Car Talk...seems like the stuff they like to talk about.

Sorry about the poor quality pic. I snapped this one after sunset. My neighborhood is littered with Toyota's. I'm surprised that I've only seen one with this infamous dent.

I actually saw a Toyota Avalon hit and run last week! She was pulling out of her parking spot and nailed the parked car behind her with the left edge of her car to the right rear edge of the other car. That left the rounded dent we all love to see. Apparently they can't back out properly....

well my aunt would be the exception then.. she drives an avalon.

she backs out of the garage and scrapes the side of her car's rear passenger side bumper against my 325i and leaves a somehow nasty dent on my front driver side quarter panel/fender.

my damage costs about a grand to fix while her car only gets a small scratch.

This thread is awesome. I'm going to check the parking garage later today.

EDIT: Hmm... I checked - 5 Toyotas, no "toyota dent". I'll check the lot later.

Right Angle, just one degree off topic and I'd be tempted, if not acutely correct, to call you obtuse.

so does this thread proof Toyota drivers are more likely to back up into shit, or does it proof that they are more likely to be hit from behind?
