Shouldn't you have removed the body before you took + posted that pic?

I finished the living area at the new house recently as well. There are still a few minor things I want to do however. |

Looks great! Is that flooring the tile that is designed to look like wood but with the resiliency of tile?

Yes, exactly! It was an upgrade in the house along with the Jenn-Air contract grade appliances, etc. The ONLY drawback is walking barefoot on the tile eventually makes your feet hurt; specifically the balls of my feet (…or maybe I just have more sensitivity due to being on my feet all day at work). I didn’t have this issue with flooring that wasn’t tile. I use a pair of house slippers now to add some cushion between my feet and the floor. It does look nice though.

Grapple man gets a pass. He’s mostly full of clothing I’ve gathered from my various lady friends along with some filling from a hobby shop. He came in handy when the BJJ schools weren’t allowed to open during Covid. Yeah, Sabine has the full AeroKit now and GT3 LWB’s (…with OEM S/T centers en route) and all the things now….. |

…..but who knows?!! Maybe a GT3 is in my future. At this point, it already feels pretty GT3-ish to me, especially with the AeroKit, Bilstein EVO SE coilovers, GT3 Touring decklid with the custom 3.0 badge and the LWB’s. My bad for turning this into a car thread. |

Haha! You’ll never let me live down the show towels in the bathroom huh? You’ll be happy to know there are no show towels in the bathroom currently, just a huge Peter Lik. I did hang a West Elm chandelier in my laundry room though.

I saw some of the mods you did to the C2S on another thread. Yeah, Pcar prices are ridiculous right now. I don`t really like the "newer" GT3s . They are "Amazing" cars, but (to me) they don`t look as nice as the 997s, and/or the 991 GT3s........ Your car looks perfect , and with all the mods you did to it, I`m sure it`s just as nice as a GT3.

I’m having a custom lip made for the car that is very 991 GT3-ish in design. Stay tuned! |

Today we replaced some rotted wood and trim around the garage doors with PVC . Tomorrow I will paint couple more coats. This should last my lifetime.

My 4-year-old is very active. The little one is watching her, and we'll be the same .
So we decided to build a small playground in a basement for them to waste their energy 3 4x8 plywood on a wall for climbing, monkey bars on the sides and ceiling, and a swing. Will take more pictures once done 100%. |

We bought this house in 2017, and I gutted it inside and started over. We’ve been very happy with the inside ever since.
This all started July 10. You know how, no matter your intentions, one thing leads to another? Well, we wanted to add a rail for the pool, and in doing that figured we should give the pool deck a refresh. While we’re at it let’s tear out the Saltillo tile on the patio and put down the epoxy for a non skid patio. Easy enough, right? Done deal. Then, Mrs H has been on me to go solar for a while, and in conjunction with the conclusion of the deck completion, we signed a deal to add 34 panels and 2 Tesla batteries. And since you get a whopper of a tax credit for not only the solar array, but also the roof, (which we needed to do), let’s do the roof, too! Our patio cover has been a trellis since the house was built in 1980, and since we’re doing the roof, let’s put that hard lid in so we can enjoy the patio when it rains. It needed to be replaced anyway, and now we can roll all that roofing into the solar deal. What the heck, right? It’s going to match our ceiling inside with 6x10 beams painted with T&G 2x stained. When we tore off the old trellis, of course there was major water damage to 2 structural beams that carry about a third of our roof. Better get that done while we’re at it… And since we’re doing all these nice things to the back yard, let’s give the rest of it a refresher. We tore out all the old planter walls which were 4x4 treated lumber, and putting in cinder block walls with stone face and flagstone cap to match our fireplace inside. And since we’re doing all that, might as well give the whole house a stucco repair job and a new coat of paint. It needs it anyway. Now we’re thinking a built in bbq would be nice to add. Haven’t pulled the trigger on that yet. Keep you posted… Here are pics of progress so far. Tomorrow is the beam swap and start of the new patio roof. Also pics of fireplace I did 7 years ago and interior ceiling we are going to match. Can’t wait! |
