So what is with the trend of auto manufacturers hiding exhaust tips, but faking the outlets in the bumper covers?

According to both MotorBiscuit and Edmunds, it features dual injection, which I interpret as having both port and direct injection.

According to this, which from what I can tell is the marketing and press division of BMW, the X1 has both port and direct injection. Lots of good information in this press release about the car!

I noticed that too. Possibly a fractured arm or dislocated shoulder and a broken face if the front air bag doesn't also deploy.

Man, you really can't go wrong with any of the colors available. They all look great. If the San Remo Green was a bit brighter I might have went with that instead. I was torn between Portimao Blue and Cape York Green, but ultimately I went with the blue because I see so many Toyotas with a similar shade and wanted to stand out among the Rav4's here lol.

And I felt the same way about the Cape York Green. It seemed too sagey to me, among the many other cars that color. You certainly won't lose your blue in the parking lot, ha!

Hi all,

Just ordered my X1 with following options:
xline design/white ext/red-black int/conv-pkg/htd seats/homelink

Dealer said it will be week-45 production when I ordered on oct22;
but now says will be completed Nov 7th :-)

Other than the mygarage.bmwusa, is there another way to get additional production details?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Your Client Advisor can give you what step in production it is in, but it'll be similar to what you see on bmwusa.com, but less pretty and with a number associated to it's step in production. They can see(as long as bmw updates the status) when it goes into paint, assembly, quality check, in transit to port, on the ship, when it arrives, and potentially even carrier assignment with an estimation of dates along the way.

Everyone commenting on the 7 speed dct. If you option the m sport package it includes an 8 speed steptronic. What's that all about?
