It would help if you put at least one on the showroom. Cars tucked away at the back of the lot don't sell, don't you think?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think the new GT 640 looks fine compared some of the other new BMW models. Its sleek and they are rare.

The glee in this thread is hilarious. Y'all are like the GOP when Obama's term ended.
Personally my amazement was more directed at BMW for insistently producing a clear sales flop. Like someone who continually touches a hot stove. For the 3 people who buy these things - sorry for your loss |

2. The current 6GT is a level of refinement not found in the X3 or F31 touring. I'll be sad to see the 3GT go, as it could've been a good platform to improve on. For instance, it would've been a great PHEV or even BEV. In the meantime, go actually sit in a 6GT and you might realize it's a very capable car that offers a lot of versatility and a great driving experience, especially when compared to an SUV.

I have a 2014 3GT. Perfect car for my situation. My family has three tall people in it. Regular 3 series is too tight in the back seat. If they have turned out a long wheel base 3 series Touring I would have taken that instead because it would have looked better but that isn't an option BMW has offered me.
It is a fantastic long distance cruiser. I've taken it on multiple 1000+ mile trips around the western US. It is such a great fit for my needs that I'm seriously considering buying a replacement 3GT in the final year of production. That way I can continue to pollute the visual environment for all of you for another 8-10 years. |

Like the original Chrysler Pacifica...the answer to a question no one asked.
Was always perplexed that they killed the 5 series wagon in North America for the 5 and 6 GT. There is no way they outsold them unless somehow they all became airport cars.

My apologies if offended GT owners.
Stats and facts shown GT didn't succeed, the only plus being having better interior spaces and that's it. If the legroom is the only selling point for GT products no wonder they have to can it for good, and BMW might will just use Chinese 3 series long wheelbase chassis for sedan and touring variants, still pointless for GT's.

Actually, in the part of Munich I live in (close to city center) I have the feeling I see more F34s than F30s (the F31 is way more popular in Germany), but maybe I am biased cause I looked close at buying one earlier this year.
I still think they are a pretty good compromise between a 3/5 series and a SUV due to the longer wheelbase, the higher seating and the large trunk opening and capacity (more than the F31). But yeah, the design might not be for everybody, agreed. |

Good riddance. Now BMWNA can't use the excuse anymore that wagon buyers should just move to the ugly and worse handling GT cars. Bring the 3 (G21) and 5 (G31) wagons!

BMWUSA wants you to think X series crossovers and SUVS for your next BMW family hauler. They are not interested in importing slow selling tourings and wagons. Outside the 5 or so schmucks in Internet forums that claim that will open their wallets if they ever become available here. Outside of these forums and enthusiasts, there is no market for them. At best a niche segment, very small and statistically insignificant to their sales projections. So remember, the X lineup should satisfy your cravings for a touring wagonm They need to keep that South Carolina factory churning out as many X series CUVs as they can!
