I have 07/24 and Park Assistant Professional.

I discovered 2 new features today:
- my right mirror now tilts downward while reversing. This is in the manual but I've never had it working before.
- the park assistant showed me 2 empty parking spots in the garage (no other cars around, just lines). I could now click on the touchscreen to tell it in which of these 2 spots I wanted it to go.

Maybe this was there before but I'm still happy to have discovered this 😅 They need to work on their interface though. I'm sure many people are not aware you can tell it to exit/park left or right using the signal indicator.

25e PHEV 2023 all upgraded here. Interestingly as others have mentioned the lights on the tweeters have now turned white and don’t match the blue colour anymore, not tired to change any settings yet.

Not noticed anything else.

The mirror tilting downwards has been in BMW for many many years. You just have to make sure the mirror selector is set on the drivers mirror. That way, whenever you reverse the mirror automatically tilts downwards. If the mirror selector is set to passenger mirror, the mirror won’t tilt downwards.

The parking assistant has also been there from day one for anyone with parking assistant plus

bimmernurse just to confirm, the cutoff I’m referring to is in regards to being able to download the parking assistant professional based on a quote from BMW Taiwan that only cars manufactured from 04/2024 will have access to this feature.

So, when I say you might have just missed the cutoff, I’m saying that your car might have been produced a few days/couple of weeks too early. E.g. cutoff is late April but your car may have been produced early April)

Just because BMW Taiwan said this, doesn’t mean this cutoff is limited to Taiwan. This would typically apply worldwide.

Sorry for all the confusion caused by my quoting. However, I believe this issue is NOT related to a cutoff. It seems this service/feature is not yet available in the USA.

Just as an FYI, my car production started in late April.

Got notified of the update yesterday and after one failed attempt finally got it to install.

It kept stalling at 30% on the app and around 2.4 of 3.7 gig on the vehicle display.

Tried everything to fix it by rebooting the display, restarting the phone but nothing worked. In the end, I found a discussion that mentioned disabling Auto update under the privacy settings and that seemed to trigger something that allowed it to update the second time.

After the update I had to reconnect my phone which I also had a problem doing. Rebooted the phone and rebooted the system and that seemed to allow it to connect again.

The only thing I had hoped for from this update was fixing the intermittent Android auto .

Just did a short drive to check Android Auto and it "appears" to be better but I only tested it for a mile or so. Fingers crossed.

Does anyone know the "customer specific adjustments" that are mentioned in the release notes? I was hoping for an option to disable ASS one-time but I don't see any changes in the menu.

Takes like 30 minutes before it works again. There was a message they popped up after saying something along the lines of comfort access will return shortly

I had an issue with the Digital Key Plus and Android Auto on my Pixel 8Pro after the update. Seems related to connectivity. It worked at the beginning, but then stopped and nothing could restore it (including 3sec resets), so I had to delete the key and phone and set it up again once at home with my 2 original keys.

For about a full day used only the NFC option of the phone key to lock/unlock and it was super tedious.

I am happy like a pig in shit now that you can scroll through the playlist on the heads up display for CarPlay!!! I never thought I would see the day where it properly functions.

I didn't encounter the Bluetooth disconnecting issue yet, could it be fixed?!

was this not available in iDrive9? I have always been able to go through my playlists on the HUD. (2023 X1, iPhone 15 Pro, CarPlay, Apple Music and YouTube Music Premium)

not for the 2024 X1 and the dealership took one of the cars on the lot and it didn't work for anything connected via Bluetooth either. it only worked for the flash drive.
it worked on the 2023 X1 by default.
BMW likes to go backwards

I also had a text message come through this morning on my commute to work! that almost never happens. it looks like the Messages interface changed a little but you still can't make your own reply.

This is really interesting.. has anyone noticed a difference?

Also, has anyone posted the full release notes? I missed them.

I’ve tried a couple of times over few days to install 07/2024.40 from 03/2024.40. I’ve read it’s supposed to take about 20 minutes to complete. 1st try on Friday 27th it stuck at 20% for about 60 minutes. I thought for sure todays drive which was about 45 minutes would allow enough time to complete the upload so I could start last step to install. Problem is today it got only up to 45% which ID9 says is 1.6GB of 3.4GB. The same as it did last Friday when My BMW app said ut was at just 15%

Am I doing something wrong or is this to be expected with all BMW updates?

To complete mine, I let the engine running until installation began. Then I had to park the car to finish.
