The pros bikes weigh well under UCI limits, prior to getting weight put back in, usually lead in the bottom bracket area, to help lower the center of gravity. As with anything you spend money on, there will always be someone taking it to the next level.

Finally got to get on the bike. I felt like I was lagging the whole time, I'll have to check the Garmin, looks like I was only a couple minutes off of my average for this loop (about 19.5 miles+-), not that bad.

I thought I've been riding ~6 miles only to find that it's just over 10. I just got a Trek 1.2 a couple months ago. I was a big runner before but haven't set foot on the pavement since getting my bike. Looking for a roof rack at a good price now.

Finally was able to get out today (first time in a few weeks because of a move) and it was a great feeling.
Now though, I've got that whole body fatigue feeling you get after not working out in a while and unfortunatly still half a day of work to muddle through. Sadly I'll probobly get my legs back just in time for it to start snowing. *sigh* Side note: Anyone else looking into Lemond's new trainer? Looks really promising and I like the fact that I don't have to worry about wearing tires out/keeping a second wheel like you do on a traditional trainer. Unfortunatly it'll probobly be like $800.00 which will more than cover the cost of lots of extra tires. |

Went for a 31 mile ride on Saturday and it was pretty nice. I used cages on the ride Saturday and regular shorts. Needless to say, clipless pedals have been added as well as biking shorts. Going to do 45 - 50 miles this Saturday. And I was a running for some time but decided to give my knees a break and it has helped. I am still mixing running in but the pain has dropped significantly. Did a brisk 8.5 miler on the MTB, on MTB trails of course, this morning and can feel some burn. |

Myself and a few buddies do a Tuesday night ride, mostly paceline. Last week we got our asses kicked by some pro rider who took us into the red zone. I hope he is not there tonight.

Can anyone recommend a relatively inexpensive pair of shoes & pedals? I'm clipless right now but would like to get some clip-ins in the near future.
