Far too much going on since late October: new house, new business, family health concern, and more. Just needed to step back and "prioritize".
Our home is finished (after some delays) and we are moved in and still decorating and settling in. But truly blessed and more than anything, I am happy for my wife and kids.
I will be posting but not nearly as much.

Cheers! To those who may have been concerned or at least wondering about me, thank you. And I can't post up in here without a "drink update"....

My current project: I converted this bookshelf into a liquor rack at my bar:

Hope all's well with you and yours. Now just find a way to get those wine bottles on their sides.

Haha! Right. I threw a few on the very bottom for easy reaching. My wife runs and hosts a professional yet social event once a month. She literally receives about 5-10 bottles of wine each month! I have to place most of the bottles in boxes and store em'. If we liked wine, we would have a stocked wine cellar!

I’m not a big spirit guy, it’s usually beer or wine for me. But celebrated (one of) my boss’s birthday, and he’s a scotch/bourbon fan, so he and a few others let me sample their wares. I think these were lost on me, unfortunately, as I’m still trying to acquire the taste.

Ok... I've had some good shit in my time. I absolutely LOVE pecans!!! I eat them in my cereal, ice cream, as a snack, pies, you name it! So naturally when I saw this at my local store, I had to have it! Guys listen to me carefully... This is among the BEST alcohol I have EVER tasted!!! Now maybe I'm a lil' biased because of the pecan flavor (ha!) but how TF they were able to capture the essence of the pecan flavor so naturally blows my mind!!! It's not a artificial flavoring taste. It is like drinking the essence of pecans! It is of course sweet but not sugary sweet like some of the Crowns. And being a Canadian blend, you know it's smooooth AF! I give this my highest recommendation right behind my beloved PLANTATION XO. It is that good.

^I keep seeing how Digger and Mark (Moonshiners) are hanging flavors like hazelnut in the thump keg when making their brandy.

I SO want to run a little still . . .

Define cheap. At some point just buy 1 good bomber instead of trying to get white girl wasted on 2% bud light.

New guy to the BMW world, but love this thread.

Currently low on whiskey at home, just a bottle of Jura and one of Bushmills.

Seems most of my favorites are touched on often.

Bourbon
Eagle Rare
Four Roses Single Barrel
Bakers
Elijah Craig

Irish
Bushmills if I want something sort of boring

Canadian
Haven't found any that aren't boring

Scotch
Highland Park
Ardberg, the Uigeadial is excellent
Lagavulin
Aberlour Abunadh
Oban

This was the xmas gift basket for my employees in December.
[IMG][/IMG]

I have a 10 day Scotland vacation coming up in May covering Edinburgh, Islay, Oban and a few places between with a 1 series hatch rented.

I do love Aberlour. I have tried the Ardberg 10 and it was way to smokey for me. Does that Uigeadial have a different flavor profile (very different)?
