I guess all these pics of VWs with M colors have NOTHING to do with Martini Racing. You're an idiot.

Damn it. I just now found this amazing thread and hadn't realized until now that all I had to do was slap an //M badge on any old car! I wish I had seen this BEFORE I dropped all that cash on an actual M3!

BTCC...this is a privateer car. Plus you proved my point. The past posts were about historical racing lineage between Martini and VW, which you and every other VW nuthugger failed to connect directly with a VW Martini factory race car. Your picture is like saying the #8 Starworks Oreca Chevy LMP car counts as well, and Chevys should have Martini livery too

This whole thread is about badging a car to look like an M car... the VW, no matter how you try to coat it, isn't trying to replicate anything related to BMW or the M brand. So on that front, yeah, I did win this argument because there's about a 1000% chance that VW was a nod to Martini Racing, not BMW M. Fini

I'm thinking of doing the opposite and removing my ///M3 badge from my car. Perhaps this will restore some balance to a chaotic universe.

Besides possibly looking cleaner, can you imagine the perplexed reaction of a fake ///M badged driver as you've casually discarded what they perceive as an elite, prestigious status symbol?

As new member to the M3 community here is my contribution to this thread. Noting that this disturbs me as I just came from a 335I but it never even crossed my mind once to put //M badges on.
Not that long ago saw this "M Power 335I" for sale on Craigslist and it was saved on my Photobucket: And another gem from Craigslist: Last edited by Larsim; 04-20-2017 at 11:34 AM.. Reason: . |
