It has been such an insane winter with the sustained brutal temperatures, and currently as of February 20, we're number 3 of highest snowfalls since 1873. 156.6cm/~62".

It held 58 F here outside all night, and we slept with the bedroom window open.

The local forecast here is for a high in the mid-60's F today, with a cold front coming through tonight that will end our spring preview with tomorrow's highs barely above freezing.

A Winter Storm Watch was issued early this morning for Thursday evening into Friday, with an expected 6+ inches of snow and some sleet on top.....

Another winter storm brewing here. Thursday night into Friday. The snow/sleet line is right over my house so I can get 10 inches of snow or an inch of sleet like I got a few weeks ago that just finally melted yesterday.

It has gotten this cold before but this is definitely colder than normal. Some years ago I got a lot of plant damage from the freezing weather.

This is nothing compared to what you get, though, or our friends up in Canada.

Weather reports are warning of morning frost, so we may get some plant damage.

Next week we're supposed to see some 80s. Weather is crazy these days.

I struggled a bit when I walked over to my BIL house at sunset, in shorts, with a Pendleton and beanie on. It was like 55 when I left the house. Good thing he had some bourbon to send me on my walk home.

Wife wanted nothing to do with me kissing her when I got there, she could feel how cold I was. 20 minutes walking each way. . .

As much as I hate winter, we are used to it. When you guys get temps in the 30s and 40s it must be a shock to the body. I used to go to south Florida a lot in the winter. We mostly had typical FL weather but occasionally it would be in the 60s . I’d be on the beach, maybe in a sweatshirt, and the locals would be freaking out looking to put on the heat.

I feel personally attacked!!

I just crawled under the covers on the couch. I already braved the frigid temps to go downstairs to find some socks, a fucking miracle I didn't get frostbite venturing up and down in these temps.

It's 56 degrees, lol.

Wacky. Been a cold winter with some absurd bouts of warm days tossed in. Went from 20's last weekend to 60's and is going back to the 20's again.

Exclamation

Our current situation... It only takes a hint of freezing these days and the Schools and other Public places close down like today.

The NWS dropped the Winter Storm Watch here, and replaced it with a Winter Weather Advisory for 3-6 inches of snow/sleet overnight and into tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the scarecasters have managed to empty the store shelves with panic pre-storm buying. They also sold a gazillion extra overpriced TV commercials for the extended ongoing storm coverage as feet of snow pile up.....
