Love the Maxcon Design lip, was wondering anyone having it with H&R lowering springs

It appears as if all of these would just trap dirt and water....deteriorating the paint. no?

On the topic of spoilers, do you think we can swap out our spoilers for the M35i rear spoiler? Love the "stingray" protrusions.

It’s not exclusive to the M35. All the new X1 that have the M Sport Pro pack now also get that spoiler.
You can definitely swap it out, but I haven’t found the part number for it. I can only find the “older” version before the introduction of the M35 and the M sport pro pack

The first two seem to have a big “lip” that can collect dirt, but the last one seems to be quite ok.

If you ceramic coat the spoiler, use wax, or use CarPro Elixir, the water and dirt will fly off when you’re driving.

I wash my car weekly, so I can’t guarantee that this will solve the problem 100%, but in all the times that it rained, snowed, or whatever weather condition that got the car dirty, the only time I had an issue with dirt was with yellow pollen.

Also, more important than coating or waxing, is the application process. You need to use good quality tape, place it properly, and apply it well so you do not have any gaps for water to get trapped inside.

Thanks! I found these two part numbers -

5162 7 011 130
5162 5 A2C 1E5

Unfortunately where I'm from, the M sports package doesnt include the M performance rear spoiler, just the regular Xdrive version.

Thanks for your help! I'm waiting to hear from my stockist.

Exactly what I found. It seems that the newer design isn’t yet available on the online parts catalogue. But I’m sure the local BMW dealers will.

One thing to note: the part will come primed. Not painted. So you’ll have to factor in the cost of painting.

Hi there! Thanks for flagging, will bear that in mind. When you say newer design - what do you mean? Could you share a reference photo of the newer design?

This is the design I'm after -

That’s the “newer” design I’m referring to.

When the X1 launched, this spoiler was not available. Then, when the X1 M35 was introduced, this spoiler in the photo was introduced alongside the M Sport Pro Package.

If you order the M Sport Pro Package on any X1, you will also get this spoiler (might be country-specific).

Installed aftermarket mudflaps on my M35i from eBay:

Easy install, just need to remove the fender trim plastic rivets (rear-top hole muflap, front-2nd hole mudflap) and install the spring nuts/screws provided in the kit. Thanks for looking!

any news on the spoiler's availability? I assume it's like the one in the picture below(M Sport pack iX1)

also, do you know if it's possible to switch the paddle shifters with the ones that come with the X1 M35i? they are longer and more comfortable to grab. I didn't even realize that the M35i has special shifter paddles until I test drove one recently. Now the regular shift paddles that came with my X1 M Sport package just feel boring.

I also looked online for aftermarket shifter paddles, but nobody seems to be making them for the X1 U11 yet.

Based on Maxton Designs website, they’re still only offering it for the “older” spoiler.

I did a quick search, and it looks like they shift paddles are interchangeable. But they cost approx. €500 ($545): https://www.leebmann24.com/at/de/pro...hoC4yIQAvD_BwE

I found carbon fibre shift paddles on AliExpress that fit the X1 U11 for €111:

Thank you!

wow.... that's $545 just for the regular paddles. I guess I should be more careful when I use them. If they break, I assume BMW only sells them in a pair($545)

Would it be BMW if they weren’t overpriced? 🤣 it’s shocking how much they charge for them!

isn't that why some people say BMW means "Bring My Wallet"?

which reminds me... I used to love "All Money Gone" (Mercedes AMG)

Don’t believe anyone’s made them yet, I inquired personally with a lot of manufacturers/companies and all of them have this model on a list but no development has started yet, some companies based outside of the US have yet to get a M35i launch so can’t develop anything yet.

Will be a while before anything comes out that isn’t a retrofit.

IND distribution is prob your best bet for this specific product though

The fender trim rivets, how do you correctly remove them? Are they a “reusable” item or do you just punch the center in ?

Here’s all the random items I’ve got so far.
-Cup holder inserts to catch additional spills (was hard to find correct 66mm diameter)
-TPU keycases. Do not recommend as they block comfort access signals oddly
- Glss screen protector, will eventually change for a one piece when more options become available
-Tuxmat front, back, and trunk. I love this over weather tech in my other BMWs
