The other reason I sold it because I was getting divorced and wanted to consolidate from 2 cars (4runner and R8) to 1 car.

So then I got this:

And very soon after realizing it was not practical to have a Raptor around here (I couldn't even park it in my work garage because it's too high), I sold that and scooped the M3.

The R8 was a showstopper, I had a lot of fun with it.
Since my son was 3 he's been asking for the Raptor as his first "car"...

Haha! I had a CEO from upstate come down to look at it. He was going to split it with his 16yr old for his "first car"

Needless to say first thing him AND his son said when they pulled up was "WOW, that's bigger than I thought"

I loved mine...but it was one of the most unreliable cars I've ever owned.

SMG pump went, the oil squirters (2nd stage VANOS, I believe). Thankfully covered under warranty and BMW compped a couple months' payments. But the car was literally in the shop for 3 months in total.

Side note: the E60 M5 Logic7 is still, to me, the most bumpin stock stereo EVER. 4 8" subs mounted in the rear deck and with bass at neutral it would thump!

It's friggin big man... He spends summers in Dallas and we walked up to one at Krogers. I asked him, "are you SURE? How are you getting in and out of this thing?" He replied, "daddy, I'm going to be taller than you!"

That CEO - Very cool dad.

I might pick up a used one in a couple years and give it to him when he's in HS. The prices for the 6.2s are still high!

Hence why I sold mine! Aside from the size I actually made money on it when I sold. They command a higher premium out west!

I figured you'd want to look the part with your subs pumping out "Thong Song" turned up to 11.

I don't think the belt line creases in the body that lead to the side gills are accentuated by any color better than this one. It's like they designed this vehicle in this color.
