Don't quite understand why people are putting so much stock on 2 blurry pictures that doesn't even show the entire car.
Just my personal opinion, but the G87 is one of the cars I'm really excited about. I haven't been this excited about a car since the M2 originally came out which feels like ages ago. I know this thread is about the G42 but hear me out on the G87 - S58 with 6MT. How many combos like this do we have left? It's early days, but the engine has seemed very reliable, and same with the B58 it's based on - 35UP interiors, while not the most visually exciting, are pretty high quality, especially compared to their predecessors - While people may argue about the cars looks (prematurely IMO), there's no denying that the EPS will be an upgrade over the previous cars. Put that down to more development - I expect the car to be around 3500 lbs, which it is what it is. That's OK for cars nowadays The only thing I hope they keep "reasonable" is the price, which I think the current M2C nails. If they can build on that recipe, it'll be a wonderful car. I'm not super excited about the direction of where the car industry is headed, but I'm really hopeful for this car.

They prioritize that stuff over actual style and that's their issue. E.g. they think a BMW "throwback" makes a car more visually attractive to the average person, and is more important than designing a car which actually looks sleek and attractive. I could really give two F's if the new 2er has single headlights because the 2002 did. Doesn't change the fact it looks sh*t

Eww.
BMW, stop trying to make triangles work. They didn't work on the e46 facelift coupe, they didn't work on the X2, it's not gonna work here. |
