I've seen at least one spy shot of a test mule's somewhat covered-up interior. Looks basically just like the new G80 design language - steering wheel, vents, trim around them, iDrive screen, and all-digital instrument cluster basically look exactly like the G80 stuff.
And of course it will have iDrive 7, which now allows over-the-air software updates. Read a long thread last night in a G80 forum with owners complaining about losing ConnectedDrive services such as RTTI, and BMW being unable to fix the problem - for months on end, with horrendous customer service when attempting to get the issue resolved. Yet another reason I much prefer a car that's been out a few years before I take the plunge.

would it look better with round tailpipes?
Not feeling the triangle at the front.

My loaner right now is a 2 series gran coupe. If this car is RWD, looks like these shots, and has the interior of this 2 series GC, it's perfect! This 2 series coupe would make up for everything I don't really like on the GC.

Anybody ever told you guys that y'all nitpick way too damn much.. I guess that's the nature of the internet, everyone has a voice - for better or worst..
The car looks find and makes a way more aggressive leap over the F22, out the box.. The headlights and taillights I could take it or leave it but I can grow to accept them - or just swap it whenever the LCI arrives.. Also, for some strange reason, this M240i example seems to appear smaller to me or at least similar dimension as its predecessor, especially in the rear end.. Go figure.. Anyways, ZF8 and the initial offering of AWD only leaves this one off my list but I can't wait to see them pepper up this chassis with a six-speed, twin turbo RWD, with electrical-mechanical LSD on the G87! Controversial stying or not, one is ending up in my garage, that's for sure |

When people will see this car in the rearview mirror they will not move; they know it's a Subaru...

Every 1/2 Series generation looks less and less awkward than the last; this has even better proportions than the previous car. The wheel wells are nearly the right size, in the right place relative to the height of the front fender and rear quarter. Enjoying the E46 CSL-style kick to the trunk lid. Looks amazing, especially considering that this is 'just' the M240xi. Those fender flares demand attention.

I'm shocked the old leaked photo (half covered silver one) was accurate -- I thought for sure that wasn't the 2-series.
I guess it's good that I don't recoil from it (like I did with the G80/G82 -- regardless of how eminently capable the cars are). And to think, I thought the F87 taillights were boring/too plain. But I still remember seeing the F87 debut and loving 95% of, creating a sense of excitement (and desire) in me. I'll wait until the G87 M2 version to make my final conclusion. |

I hope I light the tail lights. The photos from the leak didn't look great imo. I hope I warm up to them bc at this point I prefer the front of the M3 to the back of this car.
Let's see how the car looks
