I just put black tape over Max. He just wins as he and his car are on the next level. The excitement is elsewhere. There is a lot of excitement. Some meagre minds don’t understand that there is still much excitement.

Love the new sprint weekend format. That’s a big improvement.

Beyond that, it’s not like RB had an 80-100 hp advantage like MB did last gen of car where Helen Keller could have won in that car. RB’s advantage is the driver now whereas back then it was simply hp.

You manage to forget how very average MV was in his first few years in F1 and ignore how fast the red bull was in China even with a flat battery.
Sure Mercedes had a performance advantage and Hamilton won his championships because of it..exactly the same way as Verstappen is winning championships in a dominant Red Bull.
The difference between the two is that Hamilton showed his exception talent from his very first race in F1 while Verstappen took years.

In the hands of Checo the car is much slower. So how much comes down to the car and how much to the driver?

Perez is a second rate driver..always has been.
He does exactly what the teams wants from their second driver...he doesn't challenge their lead driver for wins.

Its not like the early days of F1 where the driver could make a big difference...at least a third of the grid would win championships in the Red Bull if given the same position as Verstappen as lead driver and Perez as back up.
