I've been looking for the "next" car to replace my F36 N55 - Was shopping for an X5 4.0 but am leaning more towards the X3 m40/m50 because my wife already has a big SUV in the CX90. Really love the interior of the X5 so im hoping this model will help bridge that gap between performance and luxury.

Freaking oyster interior in my car just feels "dirty" after 8 years (and its starting to fade in areas).

Now question is going to be how crazy is the price going to be.

We’ll know the details mid-June. I’m in the same boat as you. But with an MDX for the family hauler.

At least w/the current generation, you won't get the X5 quality interior in an X3. We'll see what the MY25 X3 brings but my guess is it will be more of the same to justify the large price difference!

Knowing how the internet is, I'd bet we see a few 'slips' of the camo before then; someone accidentally leaving part of the car cover off in a random parking garage, a stealthy spy shot during a dealer unveiling, etc.

I saw that too which is concerning. I had a current gen X3 and didn't find it's interior that nice, so I sort of think it will be a wash. The X1/X2 did step it up vs the prior gens, so there's some hope. The 5 Series I don't care for as much, but the X3 I don't think you expect as much so it might be OK.

Next gen X5 is coming for the 2026MY, that's one I'm curious to what happens. The current X5 is probably their best overall product for interior quality, it's interesting if that will stay or be pushed down to like the 5 Series is.

The next gen X5 comes out in 2026 as the MY2027.

My X3 M40i is coming off lease in Sept. and based on all the cost cutting BMW has done I will likely vacate the brand after 10 loyal years and go with a lightly optioned Macan GTS. We’ll see what the new G45 has to offer come June but based on the ho hum spy shots and initial driver impressions I’ve read I am not seeing $200 plus per month more in value. BMW used to always be good for 5-10% off which kept me out of a Porsche but these days BMW seems to be not only cost cutting but also chinsing out on discounts. Not saying Porsche is better in this regard but with BMW not offering air suspension or any significant suspension improvements I predict the new M50 will still feel harsh compared to a Macan with air and never handle near as well.

Yeah, I keep going back looking at Macan’s, but I know myself and when the new EV Macan is out with that amazing design…..I’m going to be upset spending that money on an older design. Irrespective that I’m not interested in EV. The design change is striking, I’ve seen it in person. I’ll await the M50, and I’ll deal with less buttons.

@ 91.5k - why not get an x5 m60 with air suspension? Can option one <100k. You’ll be able to get 6-8% off a build and be very close to the Macan price.

I have a short question, it is my first BMW

Will be the PHEV direct available in Germany or come it later in a second release?

I'm on the list for a 911, but I just can't justify the money for a Porsche SUV. I was going to wait for the new X3, but realized I could get all this and then some in an X5, which I have always sort of pined over. I put in an order for an X5 M60 today. Build week 23.

Congrats SM. Who’d you go through and what % off MSRP?

I’m also in Ohio and we got our F80s around the same time many moons ago.

Yup. I remember. My new dealer is in Maryland, Passport BMW. They've treated me great through the last 3 cars. I got 8% off which was significantly better than my local dealer was able to do.

Awesome thank you.

I have no luck with my two local dealers. They are both low volume and have yet to come close to touching the Autonation and Sonics. Which I suppose makes sense. But I’m not paying those prices when it’s easy enough to line up a much better deal!

"BMW is weeks away from introducing the next-generation X3, ..."

Sounds like that mid-June camo unwrap isn't that far-fetched!

Just saw a caravan of full-camo M5 Tourings and X3s coming out of the Port of Hueneme while running a package to USPS. Getting close to both!

Ha, you’re reading my mind Matt. A X6 M60i is actually my 2nd choice but 4 things are holding me back:
1. The muted exhaust
2. The lack of buttons
3. The dealerships in the Twin Cities refusing to discount X6’s
4. I’d want DHP which means giving up leather to stay under $100K and at this price that seems like an insane trade off to me

The X5 is too large and reminds me too much of my X3 and I’ve had 3 of those.

Are you opposed to brokers on lease hackr - not sure if it would net out to savings if you needed to ship tho. I believe x6 broker discounts are not as great as x5 due to the lack of allocations but maybe still 5-8%
