In the original script, James Bond was supposed to order a vodka martini "stirred and not shaken" but it didn't sound right. Hence the shaken and not stirred version.

From everything I have ever been taught about cocktails (and I have zero mixology certifications), stirred makes much more sense than shaken for a martini.
That said, according to the interwebs, the original drink order, from the Casino Royale novel, called for shaking. The "Vesper martini" was indeed a vodka martini, shaken, but it was not a pre-existing cocktail recipe, it was invented for the book. It also cannot be made today as one of the ingredients is no longer bottled. Details and alternate recipe here: https://www.thespruceeats.com/vesper...o%20make%20the As for me, I'm one of those "if it's not gin, it's not a martini" people so I'm more interested in this for the Bond angle, and I'll always consider it a character flaw that he actually ordered a vodka martini. |

Whittier, Alaska, is a town with a population of 272 on the coast. Practically the entire population of the town lives in a single 14-story building that also houses local government, schools, shops, etc.
This may be old news to those who've done an Alaska cruise, as Whittier is a cruise port.

The best-preserved dinosaur ever discovered is a fossilized nodosaurus that is over 112 million years old, found in Alberta, Canada, in 2011. This remarkable specimen is so well-preserved that its skin patterns, armor plates, and even traces of its original pigmentation are still visible. It was discovered by accident in a mine, perfectly mummified with its limbs, body shape, and face intact, giving an unprecedented glimpse into the appearance of dinosaurs. Scientists believe it was swept into an ancient sea, where minerals rapidly preserved its body, creating a lifelike fossil. Now displayed at the Royal Tyrrell Museum, this nodosaurus is hailed as one of the most significant paleontological discoveries, offering invaluable insights into dinosaur biology and evolution.

A cryptid is a creature that people believe exists, but the existence of said creature has yet to be proven. Think Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, etc.....
