lol sure, whenever you'd like just let me know. i'm at about 80k raw dps w/ 680 res all and 38k health now. i actually just swapped my build a little bit. took out horrify for firebats and vision quest so i can kite with some AoE dmg.

To the expert Demon Hunters out there, what skills are you using?

In farming Act I inferno I find using elemental arrow with the frost arrow rune works great for AoE and sometimes can one shot multiple monsters, along with hungering arrow with devouring arrow rune for good single target DPS (and some minor AoE).

As for defenses, I usually use Caltrops with torturous ground to snare a little, shadow power with gloom, preparation with battle scars, and smoke screen with lingering fog for those "oh crap" moments.

I'm sure there are better options, but it's been working well for me. Minimal deaths this way, unless I get a vortex into a plagued and molten champ pack or something like that, then I usually pop smoke screen to get out of it and run away. What builds do you other DH's use?

Well I'm no expert, as my Wiz is my primary character, but pretty damn good at it and my build is very similar to yours. (Pri) Hunger Arrow - Devour/Penetrate (Sec) Elemental Arrow - Ball Lightning (1) Smoke Screen - Linger (2) Preperation - 30% no CD rune (3) Caltrops - extra slow snare (4) Marked For Death - rune where you can put it on a target.

That's worked insanely well for me farming act 1. You can substitute Vault for Marked for Death if you need to kite more.

Lets give it a try tonight, I think this will be a very potent combo. I changed up my gear a bit, less DPS but better overall. Around 90K DPS, 500 res, 45K life. However, for my tanky-CC build, I go with 50K dps, 800 res, 45K life. He uses about 55% crit, which my survivability is based off of. Not sure if you are familiar with a Wizard but we have a passive called Critical Mass. Every crit reduces all cooldowns by 1 second, this basically gives me non-stop CC's, armor, and big DPS spells....allowing me to tank just about anything.

I hate the fact that in order to use a Barb in Inferno, you have to spend millions of gold on equipment just to get through it. At this point I cake walk through Act 1 and 2, but Act 3 is a lot harder. I also unlocked Inferno Whimyshire last night, the elites in there heal around 15k dmg in a second. I know because my barb does more than that and they would heal themselves that quick (not even being vampiric). Anyone can add me sgleeson35@gmail.com but I prob will be playing more SC2 because I have been getting sick of just farming.

I've been playing a sort of "bargain" barb, spent about 20mil in total on him, but not all at once. Funny how thats considered a bargain now lol.

Add me if you want to see my double tornado build and gameplay, it revived my interest in my barb. So much fun, so much dmg, but its really hard to use, so its a very rewarding playstyle in the sense that it actually takes skill to use.


Just picked up a new wep on my guy, so im at 26k raw dps, 1100 Life on hit, 40% crit chance with 212% crit damage. 800ish all resists, 8k armor, ~44k hp. Beginning to dabble into act 3, although its still really hard.



Syndicate has a stellar new tanky wizard build, its pretty awesome when we both farm. The wizard tanks/dps, while the barb dps's/tanks. Its really funny.

Jeebus, my barb is nowhere near that. I only have 15k dps, 40k health, around 600 resists, and 8k armor. I haven't spent anywhere near what you have (cause I haven't even had 20 million gold yet) but I get through Act 1 and 2 Inferno easily. Act 3 I really didn't try too much, but it is def harder than 2. I been mainly farming Act 2 whenever I play though.

Yea I farm Seigebreaker for now, but Act 2 has some tempting farming routes too. What build are you using? Looks like your gear is fine, although you could use a little more resists.

Just picked up a new ring, with some LoH and crit on it. Cost me a pretty penny, but I'm now at 1200+ loh haha

In case any of you are curious of my Wizard and his build, here's a video of Whorning and I wreaking havoc on Act 1 Inferno mobs followed by Whimsyshire. I switched from pure DPS (blizzard hydra) to a tank build. Even with half the dps, I can clear faster and all of Inferno is a piece of cake, not to mention, this build is a ton more fun. Instead of kiting and running, I'm always smashing buttons and owning face! Who needs a barb when a Wizard can do it better

Stats:

55K DPS (100K buffed)
~700 All resistance (1000 buffed)
900 Life On Hit
20 Arcane Power on Crit (crucial to this build)
40% Crit
210% Crit Dmg

I would argue otherwise. It's on par with the WW (wicked winds) Wiz build in terms of overall effectiveness. The Barb Tornado build has better survivability due to ability to move easily and armor ratings. The Wizard can kill stuff faster (if equally geared) and can be done on an affordable budget. I wish it could calculate my DPS when in battle, I'm sure it's over 1 million depending on the group size.

I'd give the edge to the Wizard just because it actually requires skills and is VERY fun to play. I think I broke my keyboard already mashing my 2, 3, 4 keys

I'm gonna try to simulate that Youtube video of the barb vs x3 Act 2 packs.

Watch that barb video posted earlier on here, then watch this, I might prove your "barb nado >>>>>>> all" mindset. It's only 2 packs, I didn't see 3. Both packs appeared to be Arcane, Waller, Teleport, Reflect dmg. IMO I can kill the x3 even faster...more shit = faster killing. I'll keep my fraps open if I get a good chance for more.

Went down to the keep level 2, and the only way I died was due to (1) not aiming the WW (lol), and (2) soul lashers (who doesn't die to them?). No way in hell my blizz/hydra build would stand a chance against them.

Lol I didn't know hitting 2, 3, 4 keys was skill! Now that I've seen how ridiculously easy it is, I don't think either build is anything more than a gimmick, really. I kill Diablo by running around him in circles 2039482390 times with tornados flying everywhere. Its all pretty silly haha

Anyone want to help me power level my wizard? It's currently sitting at 44 but I'm much too lazy to level it properly myself. I love my WD but I want to try something new haha. That being said I can kinda do a direct swap with the gear since both classes are int based

Anyone getting bored at this game yet? I want to love this game but its hard lol. I only i have one character which is a Wiz with 70000 dps, 600 AR, 4000 armor, 38000 health, 40CC/200CD/1.95IAS all unbuffed. I can do range or melee in act 1-4 without switching gears. I am up to the point that farming at the same places everyday, 24-7. Nothing new. Currently have +80mf with my gears, don't know what I should upgrade to because Blizz is working on a MF solution. This sucks until they fix the MF swapping issue. I was very lucky that my online friends lets me to roll with them to farm as they all have MF capped gears for swapping, so I was able to get loot that would sell for millions.

BLizz fix the game asap, I will be on GW2 and D3. Probably more GW2, but I have to play the beta event this weekend to see how good that game is.

Nope. Try making a new character if you are bored or even Hardcore. I hate MFing, so I'm busy leveling until PVP comes out. It's good to learn all classes.
