That response was just funny on so many different levels. Anyways, something interesting about the Cavs game. We were down by around 15 before half time by playing the somewhat fast-paced/poor D system. At 3rd quarter we slowed down everything in the offense, allowing the team to get back in position for D. So that stopped the fast break points by the Cavs and we caught up to within 2-3 points. I'm not sure if this was Pringle's new gameplan, or did the team just ignored him completely, but the whole 2nd half does not remind me of Pringles AT ALL. Instead of "out-scoring" the other team, we actually tried to play defense to catch up. OR....maybe I'm wrong and that's the result from that 30 minute practice they had for D. |

Lakers come back after being down big to beat the Bobcats, 101-100.

Lakers win their fourth straight, 118-115, in OT... And more surprisingly, over a team with a winning record: The Warriors.

But seriously, this was my favorite game all season. Just a great team victory and comeback win against a really good team, a team that was 15-0 when leading after 3. I LOVE the ball in Nash's hands. It just seems like he'll always make the right play. But yes, Kobe needs to calm the fuk down with that shooting. 30 shots is terrible, 40 is a joke. |

I would rather have Brown over D'Antoni. Why? The Lakers don't have any structure defensively or offensively. Plus, D'Antoni is whacked out--simply trying to revolutionize basketball in his own way instead of adjusting to personnel. Worst move the Lakers have ever made.

I never thought I'd see the day where the Lakers needed an old short white dude to come and save the day! |

The Lakers made a great, quick, and decisive move by firing Brown, but how could they do that to Phil? These NBA players nowadays need the proper structure and discipline Phil employs which ultimately makes players respect a coach.
Will the Lakers win 50 games? Perhaps they get to 48 wins and get in as an eight seed. However, in the playoffs, a coach must make the right adjustment and substitutions as well as have a different game plan for every series. The trouble is D'Antoni seldom has a game plan. Rather, he allows Nash to run the team by creating off the dribble and sticking to pick and rolls. With Phil, the Lakers would play under the triangle but would make certain players the focal points in a series. In short, he would probably get the most out of his players and capitalize on opponent's weaknesses. |

Much needed win in OT last night against Golden State since it was Nash's first game back. I'm hoping this will give them the boost they need cause they've been very stressful to watch lately.

VERY stressful.
Can't decide if I want to watch them on Tuesday vs. the Knicks... It might ruin my Christmas.

Can't remember the last time they won on Christmas Day. I think I'll watch A Christmas Carol or It's a Wonderful Life instead.

From watching the game, it didn't feel like Kobe was shooting all that much if that's possible with 41 attempts.
He didn't get any calls and probably should of gone to the line about 10 times. Lots of times he ended up with the ball with the shot clock counting down, so he had to take a shot then. And with Nash pick and rolls along with those "horn" sets with gasol and dwight at the free throw line, lots of times the ball was swung to a wide open Kobe. He did have some typical forced shots and bad possessions, but take the good with the bad. I believe he was 11-24 in the 2nd half with some clutch shots. And just checked, last time they won on christmas was in '09 against boston. Pretty close last year though lol, after a couple big blowouts.
I remember looking forward to the christmas games with the lakers against the heat with shaq haha. |

Nash so slow, yet so effective.
I love when Nash and Howard work with each other, two new Lakers that people would probably both be on this team Kind of felt like watching the old Lakers, but teams needs more flow, ball movement, and the utilization of a two-man game between Howard and Nash. |

Wow, Pau Gasol sighting...!!
Watched the entire game surprisingly... Lakers play much better with Nash quarterbacking the team, but I did still see some deferring to Kobe at various times. MWP was a beast today.

I'm okay with Kobe calling for the ball at times, but hopefully Nash will be able to waive him off later on if he wants. Late in the 4th, Nash was about to do a p/r with dwight, when Kobe called for the ball. Kobe didn't score, but the next two possessions were pick and rolls with nash and dwight where they scored. The only bad thing is the heavy minutes with Nash and Kobe. Maybe Jamison can get some minutes at PF with say morris, meeks and MWP so kobe can get some rest. |
