Fake to me is a base model with 'm' attached. But is a base model with 'm' package 'fake'?

up until they launched the M235 and the likes, BMW has been calling those cars "M-Sport". Those cars didn't have any badging, rather they were outfitted with M-Sport logoed wheels (along with non-logoed body kits). They also had a splattering of M logoed interior badging on the gear knob, seats, some trim pieces.

M235 is another narrow slice of the product line between M-Sport and ///M.

They took a page from Porsche's playbook.... Base, S, GTS, Jahre, American Edition, Platinum Edition, GT3, GT4, GT3RS, R, Turbo, Turbo S (and soon to be Turbo E-Hybrid)

I read in one of the car rags that the new Audi SQ5 doesn't emit exhaust of of the rear bumper chrome "exhaust tips" AT ALL. WTF?

For the dinan badge, each part you buy has a point value. Once you reach 10 you get a badge.

Ahhh ok, I have pulleys and a cold air intake. So I need 8 more items to earn a badge? Ouch, that's a lot but obviously well earned. I guess I could go the fake route and put one on the car but then when i get smoked in a race it will look a bit silly. Can't wait for the video sound.

Each item has a different point value.
Like an intake may be 2 points, exhaust 3, tune 3, etc.

You can check the values on the dinan site. I dont really care about the badge. Actually, when I bought the car it already had the badge from the 1st owner.

The "AMG" also had the red plastic brake caliper covers. Looked like a Pep Boys special.

Worse than that was the 4Matic wasn't properly removed/buffed out from the trunk lid on the Benz... you could still see the outline.

While I believe some do it for laughs, there is an electric quality in an individual trying to portray themselves as something they are not. Ergo, his shadowing you and your car to try and prove he's better, or has the same capability with less of a car?

I have found folks trying to prove they can drive, better and faster than myself, which leads them to driving like a tool. I find myself treating them like I treat tailgaters on my motorcycle's, which is to let them pass, that way we both win, they think they beat me and I know where they are.

I wish they would stop long enough that I might pass along where I autocross and then we could see for sure who the better driver is.

Chances are probably slim they would accept the invite.
