It is Redondo Beach on Santa Monica Bay on a typical day. My stomping grounds as a kid.

It is Mount Pilatus. Here are two additional photos of that area.

The first is of the little hotel in which we stayed overnight after arriving that day in Zurich. I have family in Lucerne but we like to stay overnight and get a good nights sleep whenever we have time. This simple but adequate hotel is so nicely situated on Lake Lucerne in the village of Weggis.

The second photo is from the summit of Mount Pilatus looking back at the lake.

Took this one in Brussels a couple of weeks ago.

Impromptu, as always. Pass by, notice some 'configuration' merely by chance, quickly snap by hand with my smartphone and move on. Nothing planned, studied or staged, no equipment - just a coincidence.

A soccer pitch in the middle of nowhere?

Easy to find but interesting nonetheless.

The New Zealand South Island 105-meter long, 68-meter wide (114 yards by 74 yards) soccer field was built by hand on the tussocky plains of the McKenzie Country in front of the 3,724-meter (12,217-foot) mountain on which Sir Edmond Hillary trained for his successful assault on the summit of Mount Everest.

Two teams of local girls, named Pukaki and Tekapo after pristine alpine lakes nearby, were invited to play the first friendly match on the pitch on Tuesday, refereed by New Zealand Football National Referee Development Manager Lindsey Robinson.

We were there for New Years six years ago. A very beautiful place, but cold.

This pic came up on my Facebook memories this morning.

It is one of the only places I have been scared though. The Christmas Markets were that packed with people I had an anxiety attack for the first time in my life. It was the year the people were killed by being run over.

A funny story, on New Years Eve the three of us went to a cute little restaurant for dinner. My Wife and I saw Sardines on the menu which we both love so we each ordered them.

They brought out two tins of sardines, they were nice but still!

If I remember I’ll post a pic tomorrow when it shows up in my memories.

The lady is my Wife and the person next to her is our Son who was not very happy at the time as it was freezing cold!

It made me chuckle as well!
