My Trips on BMW App

My trips on the BMW app have been working fine then last Tuesday they have just stopped. My privacy data is all ticked and all other functions are being downloaded from the car to the BMW app.
Has anyone else experienced this anomaly ?
Any suggestions to get it working again?

Had it happen a few times. I take my phone into the car turn ignition on then connect phone to the car via Bluetooth and WiFi, that usually sorts mine.

Forgot to say I then turn my phone off and back on again.

Is it Key / Profile related? Need to ensure all the keys, iPhone, watch etc are assigned to your profile?

Hi Tunners, tried that including rebooting the phone, I also switched off and on again in the trips privacy settings, but it still does not download the trip data.

The single profile is active and all the keys, card iphone are linked.
Everything else downloads successfully to the BMW app.

Have you tried rebooting the idrive by holding down the volume control wheel for 30+ seconds?

In the app, if you click the furthest right 'profile' icon and scroll to the bottom and click on 'about the My BMW app.', are you on 4.3.3?

I'm sure I've seen people fix some issues by deleting the app and reinstalling but that might be a bit of a sledgehammer as I suspect it removes the digital key.

My BMW app is at version 4.4.0 so I would suspect that it is the latest update.

I also lost all trips after 27th of April. Tried rebooting etc. Looks like its related to their backend related to trips and consumption, as everything else is working fine.

This has happened before for a few people, BMW back end systems have stopped updating things. Has happened in the past, it 'could' be what others are seeing rather than it being an individual issues.

Check on ours ID8 and it's currently working fine and updating all trips / data at the moment at least.

I seem to have fixed mine. I did a reset of the head unit - which the dealer tells me is different to a standard reset. It’s the same process of holding down the volume button but with the engine running. What it seemed
To do is force a reset of the privacy detail -
They were all ticked but when I reset it seemed
To align the car and the app settings. This fixed My Trips and some other niggles.

Well my BMW Trips just started working again yesterday with no intervention from me, very strange, as mentioned before must be BMW backend problems. maybe it is written by the same software company that compiled Horizon !!!

If that were true, your car would have reported you for doing 300mph in a 30mph zone!

Looks like mine stopped April 10th. I think that’s when I did the first update to 11:30:72

I just downloaded 03.24 update so hope to get that back.

Same here.
Didn't work from 2nd April to 8th April and now it doesn't work from yesterday.
Tried to toggle on iDrive "my trips" but didn't work.

seems a recognised problem. rang the "Connected drive" helpline (BMW Australia diverts to a call centre in the Philippines) who straight away said they would send an email with the various instructions (some mentioned above):
1. Update the Apps and Services •
• From main menu, select Menu (4 squares)
• In the quick menu bar, choose Infotainment
• Go to the ConnectedDrive Store
• Select Manage in the left corner bar
• Here you will find all the apps installed
• Click Update all
2. Reboot your iDrive by:
• Keep the knurled wheel pressed for more than 1 minute until the system shuts down and reboots
3. Ensure that the data privacy is enabled
• Main Menu
• Select Data Privacy
4. Reset Vehicle Data. This will delete your BMW ID/ Driver Profile on the vehicle. Ensure that the vehicle is in standby mode and vehicle key is inside
• Go to Menu
• Select System settings
• Select Reset vehicle data
• Vehicle will be restarted
After the above steps are done, you may add the vehicle to your account again.
• Log in to the vehicle with your BMW ID (via "login with My BMW App" and QR code scan (login with your BMW ID in the My BMW App in advance) or via "login with BMW ID" by manually entering the BMW ID e-mail address and password
• On the welcome screen in the vehicle, select "Log in with your BMW ID" and "Login with My BMW App" or "Login with BMW ID"
• "When logging in with My BMW App", scan the QR code with the scanner of the My BMW App or with any QR code reader on your smartphone
• After login to the vehicle with the BMW ID, the vehicle is automatically added to the My BMW App. The first person whose vehicle is added to the My BMW App becomes the main user. Up to a maximum of six additional persons whose BMW ID is added to the My BMW App after login to the vehicle will become co-users
5. Ensure that the app has the latest version and your smartphone is up-to-date. Ensure that you are connected to a strong internet connection. If your device is connected via Wi-Fi, kindly disable it and use mobile data

If the issue persists, kindly let us know so we can escalate this to our Technical Team for further investigation.

so very clear instructions. have gone half way through, and no luck yet, waiting till i have a spare 30+min to try the last instructions.
