Dumb question - how to reset TPMS after adding air?
I checked the manual and looked under the vehicle info app (iDrive 9) but don't see an option to reset the TPMS after adding air.
I'm just seeing an option to identify tires and no manual reset option as I had on the 2014 X1 or MINI Cooper.

Not sure if it differs on ID9 since I have ID8, but topping off air doesn't require a reset for me. Just top it off and start the car. It was like that on my F32, E90, and E92 as well. The only time I required a reset on the X1 was when I switched wheels and had brand new sensors installed, in which case I manually selected the tires I had and drove until it registered.

Just after posting this last night, I checked the app and saw one of the tires was down to 20 psi.
Turns out it was dead flat with puncture by a bolt/screw. Swapped out the spare this morning. Didn't realize one of the wheel bolts was an anti-theft bolt. Now I know what the spare pack of bolts were for provided when we purchased the vehicle. Went through the tire recognition process after installing the spare but it looks like it can't recognize a spare tire. Will wait till I get the flat fixed and try it again. |

I’m assuming x1 is similar to my Acura RDX & there’s no need to manually adjust. After a few miles the x1 will self adjust. Additionally, when you rotate tires/wheels the x1 will do the same after it’s driven a few miles.
