Urgent Safety Recall : Integrated Braking System
Hi Everyone,
I got a letter in the mail today, advising of an urgent recall to replace the integrated braking system. When I checked on BMW Australia recalls website - https://www.recall.bmw.com.au/ - there is indeed a recall of my vehicle to replace the braking system. Other BMW owners, please check if your vehicle needs to be recalled as well. |

The dealer said the fix was probably a couple of months away. I will play it safe and not use the brakes when I drive or park the X1 for now. |

Where does it say 'Urgent Recall'...oh wait, it doesn't
Btw, parts availability is an issue, so it's unlikely your dealer will be booking you in anytime soon. My wife's x1 is scheduled for ~June I believe and she got the notification in February And tex2670, same here, nothing in the app

I've owned 14 bmws over the years, I've never had a notice appear in idrive, other than an oil change reminder

The airbag recall showed up in the app for me previously. I believe this only affected early production models. The panel gap recall never showed up in the app. Maybe the current braking system recall is not considered serious or widespread enough?
