BTW, just looked at the 128ti, which is more than the 330i... I mean, are those guys for real at Munich!? Last edited by KoenG; 05-10-2021 at 06:07 PM.. |

Better? Maybe but the X1 does a good job at differentiating itself from the competition in that it's a slightly more refined MINI. It's not exactly MINI's go-kart feel but it's a bit more relaxed while still providing fun, as fun can be in this type of car. Can't say the same for the competition. They might have better fuel efficiency, might be better priced and have more options available standard, but the X1 is a great package for those looking and willing to pay the premium.

I remember this KoenG individuum from the X3M forum. He would keep coming over for no obvious reason and spew random nonsense. Probably a Dacia owner.

Because quite good in a lot of terms the interior isn't or wasn't then the most exiting but it still was BMW interior with a certain premium feel and if i like one SUV in terms of looks then it was the X1 it just feels so compact and somehow packs a punch and that was with the x20d engine.

Currently driving a 2020 X5 40i , came from a 2017 x1, and honestly at the time, it really was the best small luxury compact suv in it's class. The legroom, the head room and the boot space was best in class.

I bought my X1 in 2019 after months of testing the market, and I found it to be the best in-class. I don't think much has changed since than. Plus, the distribution is actually 50/50, the interior quality is not worse than a 3-series and I don't really know what you mean by "compromised ergonomics".

I guess this is due to CO2 regulations in Belgium? The 128ti seems too be considerably worse than the 330i in this regard (148 - 139 g/km vs. 138 - 129 g/km for the 330i) |

The only downfall of the X1 is the FWD, I don't find the interior that off putting as it's nicer than most 3 Series. Also not everyone wants the size of a X5, X7. |
