Disable Speed Warning Permanently

Hello all,

We took delivery of an iX1 eDrive20 last week and I am wondering if the audible speed warning now cannot be permanently disabled.
Viewing reviews of the car on youtube, some comment on the fact that their iX1s had the function to permanently disable to audible speed warning feature.

When I disable the feature in our car, a popup appears saying that the car will re-enable the feature after next start of the car because of EU law.

Have anyone else seen this and been able to permanently disable this useless feature?

Can you just set the speed warning to something absurdly high?

Tried to mess around with the settings yesterday.
In our iX1 this audible warning cannot be switched off permanently.
This is something new, as I could do that in the iX1s I have test-driven.

This now has to be switched off every time the car has been switched off and on. It can be disabled by long-pressing the "set" button on the steering wheel, though.

The audible warning is emitted at just 1 km/h over the speed limit always it seems.

Agreed. I set it to 150km/hr...seeing as that is considered a "street racing" fine in Ontario, my wife never hits that speed = no chime/alarm

It's the same in Italy.
Every time you start the car, you have to disable it.
But there is a shortcut, press SET on steering wheel for 3 seconds and it will disable the audible speed warning. Of course you have to do it every time...
