Indeed. Most of the people on these social platforms have not very much clue about what they’re driving and any dfferences between competitors. Sure some do but they are few and far between, don’t mistake followers for anything much. Car companies hand cars out like candy to these “influencers” now purely for clicks

true... she didn't even know that the #1 most hated feature could not be permanently disabled. (the engine automatic stop and start, which is absolutely horrible for US/Canada X1 petrol-powered engine with no electric hybrid motor)

the service manager at my local BMW dealer pronounces BMW like a real German. turns out that he was an actual German citizen and only moved to the US 25 years ago. he told me to pronounce BMW properly like a German.

so I ended up finding a German video to help me pronounce German car names correctl.

Well, she cited the Volvo XC-40 as one of her favorite cars. I am currently selling mine as I have ordered a new X1. My wife loves the Volvo and I hate it. It has a very floaty ride and odd power dynamics. I don't enjoy driving it at all. I will admit, it does look good - that's the only positive thing I can say.
