17" wheel fitment

I happen to have a set of 17” wheels from a previous vehicle with the same bolt pattern that I was hoping to use as a dedicated winter set (probably 225 60 r17). This would save me a ton of money since 17s are cheap and I already have the wheels. But fitment is a little tight. There’s no contact as I spun it around but is it TOO close?

Since the Configurator allows you to set 17" wheels, it's normal and not too close.

I’d say you’re probably fine, but that is pretty close. I’d have to see it in person to be totally sure.

17" wheels might be a regional configurator option. I don't see any option for 17" wheels on the the USA configurator and USA ordering guide (only the 18" default option).

Depends of the market. In Europe, the X1 starts with 17” wheels if you don’t go for X-Line or M Sport. Otherwise, it starts with 18”.

I'm in Canada, and purchased winter tires 205/65-17 and 17" rims from my dealer.
There is no option for a 17" on the configurator, you just select other tires and activate the TPMs by going for a drive

I have been running a set of 17” 385’s with 225/60/17 with no problems.

The space-saver wheel is 17" so this size should be OK.

Hey thanks for the input everyone. Decided to play it safe since it was an aftermarket wheel. Sold that set for $500 and picked up a set of 18s during the Black Friday sales. Wheel is the voxx paso on continental Viking contact 7. Tires seem to roll really nice and are very quiet.
