Hey all!

I have a 2023 X1 with the M build and the 20 inch tires (245/40R/20XL). I want to get all season tires and am wondering what AS tires people are enjoying their X1’s? I’m considering Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 and Continental DWS 06 Plus but am open to any suggestions you may have. I’ve read that the Michelin Pilot Sport have a good grip but can be loud on the road and ride a bit stiff and that the Continental DWS are also good but lose some precision.

Does anyone have the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 or Continental DWS 06 Plus tires? If yes I’d love your thoughts and feedback. Thanks!

I run the Michelin PS4 AS on the X1 and on ‘22SQ5. I ran them on a ‘22 Golf R

I’ve run the conti’s on other cars I’ve owned. My pref is the Michelins for handling characteristics and wear (esp edge scrub). I dont notice any increased road noise with them either when I switch wheels over.

I went with a 19” 245/45r19 Pirelli P zero AS Plus 3

I’ve had these tires on both of my old cars and loved them, ride is fairly quiet and tread wear was decent.

Great in rain, better on dry tarmac.

but what are you planning to do with the performance summer tires that came with your 20" wheels?

as for all season tiers in that size, my vote is also for the Michelin Pilost Sport All Season.

Are you interested in them? I may be interested in letting mine go once I switch to the 19" set up.

I am planning to get a set of 20" wheels, but I will be putting performance summer tires on them. The stock 18" M wheels will get a nice set of snow tires.

Over the years of changing the wheels and tires on almost every car, I’ve learned to hold on to the original wheels and tires and put them back on when I trade the car in as the dealers for many brands prefer the cars coming back as original as possible (at least in my experience) bearing in mind most that I’ll trade are usually between 1 or 2 years old so the dealer will retail them and not trade them out.

That’s how it is here too. Most dealerships will actually give you more money if you remove anything not OEM, like wheels, spoilers, dash cams, etc. one dealer told me it was because it was perceived by a potential buyer that the car was not “messed around with” and therefore more valuable.
