what kind of wheel brushes do you use for X1 M Sport with the M Sport 18-inch wheels?
what kind of wheel brushes do you use for X1 M Sport with the M Sport 18-inch wheels? specifically, I'm having a hard time finding a suitable small wheel brush to wash behind the spokes. Any recommendations appreciated!

Also - since its new - take off all wheels - cover them with quick sio2 based detaling spray like Geyon,Carpro,C2quartz etc and that will ease the process and keep them fresh. Cheers. ps: look at detailing website - i have the same issue with the 19s but so far i keep them fresh every couple of days. |

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into those brushes and Gyeon cleaners.
I haven't had wheels with so many spokes in a while. Forgot that it's a PITA to clean them. sure do miss my old wheels from a while back... not because they were that good-looking... but they were so easy to clean. I simply reached in there with my hands and cleaned them. no need for wheel brushes. |

so I got my new wheel brush set and a couple of iron remover wheel cleaners... went out to wash the car this morning. boy, do I feel like an idiot. It never occurred to me that the 18" M wheels are all black, except the brushed aluminum parts facing out. I got under the car to look at the exhaust valve flap in the right exhaust tip... that was when I noticed the inside of the wheels were also black. it turns out that the last time I was cleaning them, them were already as clean as possible... but because they were black, I thought they were still dirty, so I kept brushing them... I have never had black wheels before... all the cars I've owned in the last 42 years were all painted silver, chrome, or white(OZ wheels) |
