while driving? yes, you can see it. there are a couple of ways to do this easily.

one is to just say "Hello, BMW, what's my tire pressure?" and she will tell you if your tire pressure is ok or not. (not the actual PSI numbers.

or, create a shortcut for TPMS. swipe down on the center screen and tap it and it will take you to the TPMS readings. just yesterday, I was doing 75mph with the car on cruise control for over 30 minutes. I tapped the TPMS shortcut and it showed me 35, 35, 32, 32. (all 4 tires were a couple of PSI low, but it was 20 degrees outside)

You can call it up on the infotainment display, it will display the current pressure as well as the temperature.

Wait, I might be thinking of my previous f32. I’ll check next time I get in the car.

maybe I should stop by Costco and have them refill all the tires with nitrogen. (to replace the air currently inside, which is probably 99% original German air from Bavaria)

my area has seen some stupid temperature variations recently. Take yesterday... it was 19 degrees at night... by 1pm, it was almost 70 degrees. The tire pressure has either been 3 to 5 psi too high or too low. I wonder if having nitrogen-filled tires can over come the wild rise/fall in temperatures throughout the day.

Wow that's a big difference! It won't make enough of a difference to matter much. Most of the gas is already nitrogen

And off topic, very sorry to read about your pup . We said farewell to ours 4 years ago and I still shed a tear over her to this day. So very hard. Our sincere condolences

in the car right now... only PSI, no temp reading... which is too bad. I would love to see the internal temps of the tires.

Thanks, she was a good girl her whole life. Vet told me it was the right decision but I still feel terrible about it.

Yup, that’s my bad. I got it mixed up with my f32.

I emailed my BMW Genius about what exactly the car downloads off my phone and stores. I noticed that even without my phone in the vehicle, my car was playing some of my Spotify playlists that apparently it downloaded (with no prompts, if I'm not mistaken. We may have buzzed through a permission screen during "training" before taking delivery.)
I never got a response.

FZI89 where on the mobile app can you check the battery status?

I think he’s referring to the charge state of the hybrid or electric version.

Thanks. That explains why I couldn't find it. With all the reported battery issues it would be nice to be able to track the battery charge on the ICE models as well.

Yeah, just a current voltage reading would be helpful for those who don't drive their cars often or are away from home.

On a related note, I observed that using the app on the phone turns power back to some components in the car (like the rainsensor) but not others (like the back mirror). I saw that by watching the behavior of devices plugged there. So, the app makes battery usage worse when parked and locked
