NO comfort exit

Hey guys, I'm a X1 user from China. I haven't found the comfort exit in my car. My original idrive 9 version was 03/2023.23. I upgraded directly from the dealer to 11/2023.42. Do you know why this is? How should I solve this?

Did you add the comfort package when ordering the car? This is not a standard feature

In China, my car is the top configuration and includes comfort access module. I don't know if it's related to my direct upgrade to 11/2023. Does the seat need to be reprogrammed?

I’m not sure with iDrive 9, but comfort exit was initially meant to be available with 07/2023 upgrade. I’m on 07/2023 with iDrive 8 but I also don’t have that option available yet. If I remember correctly, someone else on iDrive 8 with the 11/2023 also doesn’t have that option either. So it could be an iDrive 9-only feature that is introduced with the 11/2023 update.

It’s not been clear from bmw at all :/ because their press release mentioned that all X1 with comfort access will get this feature via the 07/2023 update but it seems that nobody except one user (idrive 9; 11/2023) has got this feature

Are you sure you have ID9 and not ID8, the only market that got an early firmware is the UK, not sure any market would have got lower than a 07/23 in ID9.

Do you have three icons in the middle of the screen or words, if it’s words and not icons it’s ID8.

Obviously, this is the UI of ID9. This is the picture I took before, the language was not set in English and lacks comfort exit settings.

how exactly does comfort exit work if the driver is 6'2" and the rear passenger is 6'1"? (which surprisingly does work fine for short trips of an hour or so)

somehow I'm imagining the rear passenger screaming in pain once the seat starts to move back automatically.

interestingly enough, I'll give the X1 the ultimate test next week when I pick up a friend from the airport. He's visiting from Fairbanks. He is 6'9" and about 250 pounds.(but always tells people 6'10") I wonder if he'll fit in the front seat.

There are seat occupancy sensors, hopefully that would tell the car not to move the front seat.
