Effective sound deadening
Installed some T-shaped door seals today primarily to enhance the door closing sound, but was pleasantly surprised by how effective they are at reducing road noise!

Interesting! Did you stick it all around the doors or just at the top?

I saw this post before my X1 30e was delivered so I ordered the Leeko seal in advance since a 4dB (60%) sound deadening seemed well worth having.
I got my X1 at the very end of June and, 2 weeks later, I fitted the seal round every door by following the photos as best I could. I did download a sound meter app but didn't use it for "before" and "after" (my bad). That said, I really don't hear any difference at all in the sound levels though I would have thought that my ears should notice a 60% sound reduction. I did notice that, for quite substantial lengths, the Leeko door seal wasn't actually compressing agains the main body of the car. Has anyone else tried the Leek seals and noticed a difference in the sound levels?? |

I never noticed my doors not sealing well. But adjacent to this concern when I’m driving in the rain and I open my window I can hear a strange water bubbling popping sound like there is air escaping the seals where the water runs into the seams of the car. I might try this to see if it helps that issue.
