I just used these cheap ones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09J196B...roduct_details

I just used two at the front to lift it up. Once one of the tools was in the gap, sliding it along the length popped it up.

Thanks! I actually ordered the same ones and got them delivered yesterday! Now waiting for the cup holder to arrive. Hopefully soon!

Ordered on Friday last week, but it’s still not dispatched. They have a processing time of 5-7 days (which is ridiculous) and then up to 5 days for delivery within the EU.

Any advice how to lift the old part up after removing the 2 screws?
Seems it is stuck as glued in my xDrive30e

It’s definitely not glued in. You need to use a pry tool and some force. Try prying it out from the side closer to the phone charger. Worked for me.

proof that we always want thing we don't have..... for the last couple of months, I've been wondering if I should find a way to order the European style of cupholder. I got a water bottle that has a strange shape on the bottom. Taking it out of the cupholder requires me to wiggle it because the bottom gets somewhat stuck on those two spring-loaded prongs on US cupholders. It's gotten so annoying that I took some black duct tape and covered up those prongs.

If you had this problem 3 months ago, we could’ve exchanged cup holders!

you know how when a lady friend gives you a gift, you have to keep on using it no matter what? guess that's the price we men pay, from age 17 to 71

or... if I don't wear the fugly Christmas sweater that she bought me, there's no way that her sweater(and more) are coming off)

I'd tell her if she really cared, she'd put more thought into a practical water bottle that fits in the cup holder.....

You are praying for that lady friend, that she never reaches this forum, don't you?

Did you take out the screws? If yes, then you have to give some force with the pry tool. Don’t be shy. Just make sure you put tape over the trim so you don’t accidentally scratch it

Finally, no pry tool just force..Use my two hands and grip the cup holder side and then lifted it free.
